Hi, I think the larger 20 inch model will perform very similar compared to its smaller brother. Batteries are the same, it would just appear the size of the deck and the collection box are different. Thanks

Thanks for another great review. I wonder if you could advise me please. I have a large lawn but a meadow as well which is uneven and a bit bumpy. I love the idea of a self propelled mower but wondered how it would cope with that type of condition?

Hi Julia, when you say large, how big are we talking? I have video to show you how to measure your lawn using Google Earth. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ2pnaavqLWiatksi=PJiXVtQ8ZPdKEaD4 It gets to a point where a petrol mower is needed, due to the condition and size of the lawn.

@@EasyLawnMowing thank you so much for your response. I have looked at petrol mowers and have dreadful childhood memories of my father forever trying to start his. The area is approximately two acres. A ride on mower was left behind by the last owner but I find that just as problematic to start and the land is on a slope so the mower struggles to get back up from the meadow. I'm a single female with pain in both shoulders so I'm looking for something that I can use fairly comfortably.

Thanks for the great review and also your review of the RM4140V. Do you feel the RM43SP80V is any better in terms of cut/stripe due to being self-propelled versus the RM4140V? I'm trying to way up if it's worth paying more for the RM43SP80V.

Hi, How is your lawn (size/terrain)? This is my mower of choice and the Self Propelled drive makes it a pleasure to use as well as the excellent performance. For my 500m squared lawn I would definitely go for self propelled option. Thanks Mark

I noticed that the two front wheels lie outside the width of the rear roller. One of the problems with my four wheel rotary is the deep tracks left by the four wheels. (My grass is currently mowed at the second highest height setting, so this might be a factor as well). How noticeable are the marks left by the front two wheels in this model?

Hi I recently laid turf and used the heavy Cobra RM43SP80V to do the first cut. I was also concerned about the wheels digging into the newly laid, rather wet turf, but it was absolutely fine as the roller took most of the weight. I did need to take care turning on the spot though. There seems to be little weight on the front wheels so you don't see the wheel tracks on the lawn, just the stripes. I was cutting at 40mm so would need to test at a higher setting to see if this makes a difference. I think the last cut was already done this weekend (unless this mild weather continues), so will give it a go at higher height setting in the spring. Thanks Mark

Hi! I haven't tested the MX460S40V specifically, but judging by the other Cobra mowers I have reviewed, I'm sure it won't disappoint. The battery tech is the same, which has been reliable in my experience. Hope this helps! Mark

Hayter has an aluminium deck and comes with a lifetime guarantee. The steel deck on this will have rotted away after 5 years

Don’t talk rubbish. Had this machine 3 years as a full time Gardner, it’s been through it all and still looks great. Last thing I’d pick is a hayter. Overhyped junk.
