Why do some companies only do HVAC and other companies do HVAC and plumbing?

So that retail price would be with install or you would still add the install price

So why aren't electronic technicians paid what they're worth most of the electronic technician jobs are paying 20 22 you're lucky to see $25 an hour why do we go to school to learn electronics we have to learn calculus electronic theory transistor theory circuit theory and we get paid 20 bucks an hour why is that electronic technicians should know that they're at least worth $25 an hour check the Bureau of labor standards technician should be making $64,000 a year and we're not and we're not because we don't stick together we need a union electronic technicians need a union we are not getting paid companies are stealing Us blind we're nothing more than nothing more than skilled assemblyman that's what they're paying us stop working for lousy 20 bucks an hour you're worth 30 or more an hour

Guy is forgetting about employee benefits, office staff, heat hydro, building, that 3800 dollar Ac is more like 5000, and 200 for labour? What a joke,
@mikestevens17283 жыл бұрын
Yeah and the reason why we dont get this type of training is becuase the company is to damn lazy to teach their technicians. They want us to sell but wonder why our revenue are not up the way they like.

Technicians ARE NOT salesman. BUT! If a tech can make 10% off gross up-sells, HE WILL SELL, SELL, SELL!!!! A fair tech can easily create $10,000 in extra sales a month. That's an extra $1000 in his paycheck. Give him 20%, and he will create $20,000 more sales in 2 weeks! NOW YOUR COOKING WITH CRISCO!!!

Good shops can charge want they want, and quote accepted, everything in our trade is word of mouth, company reputation , this guy is the car salesman we all banter with, and walk away to get our deal we wanted. 200 for labour, is terrible, does he not realize how much HVAC techs make lol

That's a dramatic video, and I'm sure everyone living in major metropolitan areas will take it to heart. For the vast majority of us working in bedroom communities and covering a 3 county deep sphere of customers with 6 people where the median income is under 18k, I think we'll keep adjusting prices as the market can bear, rather than letting what amounts to a hype man tell us we need to demand money going to rent, food, and medicine for services that are hardly affordable as is, thanks

@@ayala193 That's very kind of you. I had no idea a stranger would offer to pay the monetary costs associated with moving itself AND be willing to supply the 1 to 3 years worth of employee salaries while we went from a deficit to profit in an entirely new market. Most appreciated.

goosecouple So I you have 100 fan coil terminal units in every office . supplied by chill water, ..all fan coil unit temperature supply is 70 degrees and return is 80 degrees. and you also have a cooling tower ,that supply water to a condenser shell and tube , outside temperature is 100 degree ......Tell me what are going to do to solve the problem , since you know it all ,tell me step by step......by the way the cooling tower water temperature supply is 95degrees return 98degrees.

No employer will ever pay for training of their technicians. Plus every hour the techs are not in the trucks making calls is money not being made. After 30 years in the HVAC business and working for over a dozen companies I have never once had any training paid for by an employer. I did it own my own dime and time. Like vacation time. Most employers see training as a waste of their money . The money is better spent on their boats or cars and hobbies and vacations to Aspen or Vale.

This was over the top. Also you are wrong. You may start out book smart and know what to do. The starting pay is like 10-15 dollars. Lol. You don't get 20-30 unless you been working for 3-5 years.
@phoenixhvac-r8285 жыл бұрын
I agree, but this is what they're putting in these guys heads at these trade schools and you hire them, you send them out and they can't solve a simple low voltage issue, and they want 20 an hr. It take years of being in the field before your that tech, and to make great money, you'll have to own the business.
