Dr. Ian Mauro is the Executive Director of the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions and Professor of Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria. He holds a BSc in Environmental Science, PhD in Geography, is a former Canada Research Chair, and has held Faculty positions at Mount Allison University and University of Winnipeg. As a scientist and filmmaker, Mauro’s climate communications scholarship and multi-media research projects explore climate, energy, water and food security issues, and the vital role of local and Indigenous knowledges.
