Kiko is amazing. But gotta give it to Poland for originality and that tone, the man just has such a unique tone.

Winter Madness solo. Took me a month to learn it and was a bitch to learn. Worth it. Idk I thought the new Wintersun would be killer but idk....I was hoping it would be better. Wish Teemu stayed.

Imagine walking into this gig back then not knowing who Shawn was. You'd probably have walked out asking yourself, "Did I just watch the greatest electric guitarist of all time? WTF?" and you'd likely have been right.

I don’t know there’s something about Chris Poland. Very unique bend/vibrato and phrasing. I’ll choose Chris Poland over Vai, Satriani, Yngwie, Marty, Jason Becker, and any of today’s technical shred guitarists!!!!! He’s original like EVH, Randy Rhoads, Hendrix in his own unique way!!!!

Shawn Lane, Jason Becker and now Guthrie Govan..My top 3 of all time..and I have seen a LOT of virtuoso guitarists.....
@andrewtaylor12814 күн бұрын
My personal favorites at the moment are Guthrie Govan (insane!) and Paul Gilbert.....Guthrie is getting up there with Shawn and Jason....So that would be my top 3 at the mo..

I have seen quite a few famous guitarists but for me personally Shawn Lane and Jason Becker are still the best....and both careers ended in a tragic way....

The question was who is the better shredder . The answer is by far yngwie . Micheal is good with tapping not shredding . It’s legato vs passio . Legato is tapping. Passio is shredding.

The thing about Mateo is that his playing is so clean you can hear the notes you don't hear any distorted garbage when he plays. He does not rely on trying to fool people with this sound.

Two incredible guitar players. When we compare only the solos not the songs (don´t know much of Symphony X) then I see, that Yngwie can sometimes play some blues. I didn´t heard from M. Romeo. Sometimes I think when I hear them playing: Less can be sometimes more. It is guitar playing, not sports. They are both brilliant, but their solos not really touch me. For really soulfull and melodic playing just listen to Blackmore, Schenker or Gary Moore
@andrissoa10 күн бұрын
Joe Bonnamassa & Gary Moore are not really blues guitarists, but ROCK guitarists... In my opinion, they don't deserve to be 1 & 2, or you should put MARCUS KING number 1 (for example), who is much more better !... Talent is not only "how many notes you can play in one second", but which kind of notes you are playing and when ! At least, without feeling, virtuosity is nothing else but a boring demonstration...
