IF this thing is EVER real, I have a story of my own, that I experienced as a kid (bear with me) In the hallway to the courtyard there is a big boo fleeing from you. We all know him and try to catch him every time. My older brother managed to catch him and a stage started which was a slide stage. In this stage (which had no music other than the sound FX like footsteps and the sliding), you have to race big boo. The stage itself resembles Peach's slide and the Tall Tall Mountains slide. The ground of the actual slide is made of wooden tiles, which you can see on the actual Tall Tall Mountain slide when you have to take a right turn to finish the slide, the walls are designed like the grey building at the end of Peach's slide and there is also no ground (black) but with torches on the grey walls. Maybe this is real, idk. But I remember it so vividly

In regards to the Mirror Shield design, I immediately booted up my N64 copy of the game to check if it did indeed have the original design or not, and it did. I honestly can't say I even noticed it had changed haha

I'm pretty sure the L is real thing is just Japanese kanji/kana in low res and all the English-speaking players completely overlooked the fact that the game is made by a Japanese company and text is localized only if it's meant to be readable. I doubt they localized the text on the statue since it's so low res anyway.
