Join me as I talk my way through the Creepy/Strange KZbin Video Iceberg, with my own personal anecdotes, opinions, and theories behind the many bizarre and mysterious points this iceberg has to offer!
(This is yet another reupload of my original KZbin iceberg video that was first uploaded on October 31, 2022, which had some copyright issues, then reuploaded again on November 12, 2022, which was age-restricted. I kept this upload on my channel, as it's the true, original, uncensored version, so if you wish to watch that, it's still there, just age-restricted. As I want my videos available to be viewed by everyone, including those who do not wish to make a KZbin account (These people are locked out of watching age restricted videos) I went ahead and edited the video to be suitable for all ages. You'll notice that the video is two minutes longer, and that's because I expanded a little more information on one point on this iceberg. Can you find out which one it is? Enjoy!)
00:00 - Intro - (Save Theme - Resident Evil 4)
02:05 - Layer 1 - (Promise (Reprise) Piano Version - Silent Hill 2)
59:12 - Layer 2 - (Save Room Theme - Resident Evil 2)
02:06:42 - Layer 3 - (Free From Fear (Save Room Theme) - Resident Evil 3)
02:55:57 - Layer 4 - (Big Boo's Haunt (Haunted House) - Super Mario 64)
03:48:51 - Layer 5 - (Shadow Temple - LoZ Ocarina of Time)
04:37:04 - Layer 6 - (Never Forgive me, Never Forget me - Silent Hill 3)
05:30:37 - Layer 7 - (Spirit Guide - Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly)
06:13:59 - Outro - (End Credits - Super Mario 64)
here's a link to the unedited video. it's currently unlisted, but if you wish to watch that version, it's right here.

I like that the narrator never takes the easy way out by simply showing the video with its original audio and ceasing to talk during it; it takes a true video essayist and iceberg content creator to give us the verbal explanation and run-down instead of relying on the video itself to do the talking. I appreciate the in-depth research and elaboration for each entry.

For Memory Hole, the videos are actually tapes from the 90s sent to America's Funniest Videos as entries. They ended up being rejected for bring too creepy and the people behind memory hole found them somewhere and uploaded them.

They weren't rejected for "being too creepy", they were just rejected because the AFV team didn't think they were funny enough. MH got the rights to all the rejected clips and, so, personally picks those he thinks ARE creepy enough to use.

I'm so thankful you told Sandra's story when you talked about Obey The Walrus. I really wish you had talked about Tracey Emin and the horror of the Whitehouse song. The reason Whitehouse is ashamed of those lyrics enough to try and remove them from the internet is because the song is a genuinely horrifying mockery of Tracey's movie "Why I Never Became A Dancer," about her sexual assault. You should really look into it. The youtube video makes it worse, as the gif used is made from a photo of a Japanese rape/murder victim. Too horrible to be a coincidence, in my opinion.

Why was 6 afraid of 7? It's a fairly common question, mostly because when people see 6 and 7 next to each other, it doesn't really make sense. 6 is large, muscled, and trained in multiple martial arts, while 7 is fairly average, physically, and short. However, 6's fear of 7 has its roots in childhood. See, 6 and 7 grew up together, and for a few years, they were best friends. But then 6 kissed 3, and they became childhood sweethearts. 7 secretly had feelings for 3, so 7 decided he needed to destroy 6 to win 3's affection. He started subtly, undermining 6 whenever possible with passive aggressive comments and compli-sults. But over time, things got much more insidious. 7 started messing with 6's performance in school, bringing down his grades and turning teachers against him. Even worse, 7 became great friends with 6's parents and slowly turned them against their own offspring. At night, 7 would sneak into 6's bedroom, and whisper depressing and hopeless things into his ears. Every time 3 was around, 7 would pants 6 and make fun of his genitalia, or try to body shame him in other ways. However, 3 was both smart and compassionate, and saw through 7's schemes, sticking with 6, trying to counter 7's psychological tear-down with compliments and friendship. Finally, 7 decided that he would never be able to win 3, so he drugged both 6 and 3, taking them to an abandoned cobbler's hut on the edge of town. There, he proceeded to torture and maim 3, forcing 6 to watch in horror, unable to do anything to save his sweetheart. 7 didn't kill 3, but instead, put her in a semi-vegetative state. 7 cleaned the scene of his prescence, then called the cops, having 6 blamed for 3's condition. 6 was sent to prison, believing 6 was guilty, 6's parents fell into a deep depression, eventually committing suicide over what they believed 6 had done. After serving 17 years of a 30 year sentence, and getting out on good behaviour, 6, now muscled and skilled as a fighter, thought he might get revenge on 7. But when he finally tracked down 7, he found out that 7 had installed a micro-bomb into 3's body, and should he be killed, the bomb would automatically go off and kill 3 as well. And though she was still in a mostly fugue state, 6 couldn't bring himself to hurt her any further, and decided to try and move on with his life. However, being an ex-con, it was difficult for him to get a job. 6 finally found employment at a diner, which 7 then bought, and proceeded to again undermine and toy with 6 at every turn. 6 tried to find employment elsewhere, but 7 contacted any potential employer and soured them against 6. 6 finally realized that no matter what he did, 7 was going to try and ruin his life, and he resigned himself to living as a broken, lonely man, never able to stand up to the depraved, amoral 7.

I know I've already commented on this video before, but I just had the feeling to say this: You've genuinely become my favorite person to watch on this entire site. Your videos are INSANELY rewatchable, and I'm not ashamed to say I've watched this video, your 7+ hour gaming rumor iceberg, and your nintendo iceberg several times over. I love all of your videos for several reasons, mostly that your voice is really soothing in a way (sorry if that sounded odd, i dont wanna come off that way haha), and having audio playing in the background while I'm busy/doing something keeps me focus, I guess the best way to word it would be "your videos are amazing because they help keep me on track, while also teaching me about videos/content I haven't seen or heard of in a very long time, or hear about them for the first time." Might just be an autism thing though, but either way I really respect what you do. I love everything about all of your content. Also, wanted to mention, your video on it got me interested in looking into Blair Witch Project and the filming of it, and I love it, so thank you for that! :D

There is more to Poppy that wasn't mentioned. Poppy's style isn't her own, it's entirely copied from the character Mars Argo. The TLDR of their story is that Mars Argo's producer, Titanic Sinclair, broke off from her and found Moriah Pereira and basically made Poppy as a replacement
@NEScRETRO
@NEScRETRO Жыл бұрын
I am a massive fan of Mars Argo, and generally prefer her music over Poppy. The reason I say poppy's style is her own is because she has long since severed ties with titanic sinclair, and her musical style now is entirely different than anything it ever was back during the early days of Poppys career. Poppy is actually now more unique in her image than she ever was before, so I think the comment still holds true, even if I do prefer Mars Argo musically.

Comment on nana(6 numbers), they are seriously one of my favorite KZbinrs. Not only are their videos made with tons of love, but they have a huge bar for quality. They literally spent a YEAR making a stop motion animation, then decided it wasn’t good enough and started making a game with 0 game making experience. Also, they only started their Minecraft series so that their viewers wouldn’t get bored in between horror videos… Also also, they are playing Minecraft with 0 knowledge of the game and I mean 0, they haven’t looked up any guides or taken and hints from a single person, and they have beaten the enter dragon and the wither. The series is incredibly fun to watch, esp if you know everything there is to know about Minecraft. Anyways, amazing video !

I previously saw information about the barbie video where it turns out that this woman's other arm is a stump, and I think in the interview she's talking about this; if I recall there was a photo of her in an evening dress where you can see the stump - I think she may even have been a model representing people with disabilities or something to this effect. As for the video called Dreamer Heaven -- I remember seeing Scare Theater's original video on this before it was edited; he edited it out because it was extremely disturbing and highly realistic, it had really upset a good number of people who were viewing it. It may well be real CP. I think he explained why he had removed it, so the fact that he did so isn't mysterious. I know that usually if you're told not to look for something because it's too disturbing, then the automatic tendency is to want to look for it and see it; however, you will not feel good if you watched this, and the bad feeling will linger in you. It will not be enjoyable. Another note - I feel like the Grave Robbing for Dummies video is fake - it's just got too many "obviously '80s" elements in it, like how sometimes people overdo the "'80s theme" in stuff - I say this as someone who grew up in the '80s. like how the guy's outfit is so "obviously '80s" and how the video has so many VHS interruptions... it's too much. I feel like it's part of the '80s hype that's been going on for way too long and isn't going away for some reason. The story about the puppet from the children's show being stolen and then used to make the Angel video, that sounds fake to me too. "They donated it to the station and they thought it was a prank so they threw it in the trash and then someone picked it up and made videos with it," it sounds just like a bad story someone would make up in order to have a reason why some weirdo would make videos with a creepy puppet. I don't feel like Gemini Entertainment got the "right amount of VHS disturbances" right either, though it's better than the others; VHS didn't have constant/continuous interruptions like that. The quality wasn't as sharp as videos you see today but it didn't have these continuous interruptions. They mostly happened if you recorded something on top of something else on a VHS tape, then in the transition from one thing to another there would be interruptions like this. Otherwise you might have minimal interruptions on rare occasion, not continuously. For the animated short Doll Face, to me the message in the video is pretty clear: women will completely destroy themselves in an attempt to attain the unrealistic beauty standards that are waved before them, and will never actually reach them - because no woman actually looks the way that beauty standards expect them to look. They are expected to look like dolls, not human beings.

Ok so regarding godly recon, nationsquid did an interview a year or so back with a smaller youtuber and stated that he used to put fake entries in his list videos and that he was kinda ashamed of it now days. He never confirmed which ones he had made up but it’s likely godly recon was one of them and he just removed it from that top 10 so as to not spread further misinfo

Late to this but regarding the Elisa Lamb portion, there actually is a way to get the water tower. The door that leads to the roof has a ladder on the side that leads to the highest point of the roof. From there you could easily drop onto the water tanks

Thanks so much. Your channel got me into iceberg videos thanks to Mario 64 and cause I’m really into Nintendo stuff, I’ve seen all your iceberg videos, but then I started watching regular internet mystery icebergs and arg deep dives, and when I found you made this I was really excited. I listened to it between two separate sittings, and it’s just great, the mystery, args, the creepiness (or sometimes lack there of) it’s great. Just thanks for getting me into this community, and your hard work, your videos are great and I can’t wait to see what you make next. I’m finally graduating from high school this year and i just wanted to say thanks from me and on behalf of my siblings and friends for the future nostalgia we’re gonna have from your videos. Thank You. Btw it gets creepy when you’re left questioning what’s real and what’s fake.

I've recently been watching all the videos on this channel while I work in the office. I love that it really seems like you do the research into each of these topics. You dive in a bit more than surface level for each, but also make sure that your discussion for each point doesn't get too long. I think they're very well done!! Also, at 4:10:56, Poughkeepsie is pronounced like poe-KIP-see. It's definitely a weird name if you've never seen it before, lol. I lived near there for a long time and had a friend in that area.

Thank you! I'm always so happy to hear when people use my videos during work, or cleaning, or long car drives, or anything else along those lines because that's exactly why I wanted to make my videos in the first place! I remember being at work one night and listening to Sunflower's Zelda iceberg video. The video had just ended and I remember browsing around looking for anything else long to listen to, but at the time, there wasn't much out there over an hour in regards to icebergs, and that's when I decided to start making my videos lol.

Anti-Piracy screens on the SNES, including Earthbound, usually were triggered by trying to write save data to space beyond what the cartridge should have, so a bit of dust or electrical interference could return bad data and trip it. Other games like Donkey Kong Country checked to see if RAM was empty like it should be. DKC even caught false positives by having the player reboot the game if the RAM check is tripped.

4:38:20 A weird fact about this show is that it was a project done by Ryuji Masuda and his wife, and because it had music and a bit of work from Osamu Tezuka (Yes, the creator of dororo and astroboy) and slotted to air on a kids slot it was presumed to be child friendly and the TV crew didn't thought much of it, but it has a bunch of unsafe and probably inadequate things to show to children such as sword swallowing, fist fights and just generally scary topics.

another fact- toby fox, creator of undertale and deltarune, is a huge fan of ryuji's work. he sent fanmail to him, in which ryuji actually searched toby up and found undertale. he then played and completed the game, and ryuji's wife drew art of sans and popee hanging out!
