I was not as good at identifying shoal bass at the time but I catch them all the time on the Flint too. Recently I put out some videos from a shoal bass tournament I was in earlier this year

There are two very distinctive phenotypes of shoal bass and the one you thought was a hybrid is actually the most genetically clean specimen you pulled out of water 😂😂😂 that sucker is a stud pure bred shoal bass that’s no hybrid. Those are the markings of a clean Bartram’s and those suckers have gotten all sorts of out of their range as well as other fish have evolved into them.
