The "circular" trains are those that veer off the Green Line past Fair Park Station onto the tracks that head toward the maintenance facility and then rejoin the Red/Blue Line before the Cedars. It then proceeds past the EBJ Union Station towards West End and then loops again.
@VideoGuy_TX4 күн бұрын
They didn't have those this past year, like they did in previous years. These were still labeled/called circular trains internally. Hopefully they have them go through the yard next year.

I remember when Amtrak used to have one of these! Metra also has it, including the Altamont Corridor Express or ACE for short, the North County Transit District (NCTD) Coaster, Caltrain, and Metrolink, even Via Rail, GO Transit, NJT New Jersey Transit, MBTA, and CSX. Oh yeah don’t forget about Tri-Rail, along with the Grand Canyon Railway.

Super helpful and well narrated, because it feels like there's a lot of (unintentional) misinformation about this station. This was great, and I love the extra effort of getting the operator to turn on their auxiliary lights.
@VideoGuy_TX11 күн бұрын
I agree that it is mostly unintentional misinformation. People just repeating what they have heard, and it has gotten repeated so many times people just think things are facts. To date it is my only narrated video, but since I have footage and access most don't, I figured I could help clear a few things up for people. Thanks for checking it out and the kind words.

I was travelling on this back in April 2024 between Galatyn Park and DFW. For a tram network, it is very impressive and so amazingly cheap to travel on. Much cheaper than the UK.

I like riding down Lancaster, I love my people. Going 65 once you leave Mockingbird Nb, that was a nice stretch to White Rock to just cruise along. Heck, even riding through Garland, was cool, though they do need to upgrade the fencing and gates. 65 mph is a little fast to be going through open area like that. The signals down Lancaster are so outdated that DART does a lack of system and equipment upgrades.

You're correct, it is using old freight rail infrastructure. However, I would rather have that, than nothing at all. They are currently planning for a high speed line between Dallas & Ft. Worth.
