infinite resources is great, then just make the difficulty of the dark fog settings to the maximum, so there's still challenge, but make sure that the dark fog reaction to power usage is set to absolute minimum so you will have time to build up before you touch any dark fog.

I turned on infinite resources because otherwise I feel compelled to save every single scrap of anything and I wind up getting overwhelmed and not finishing. Now I'm about to finish my first sphere. I may go back and do a limited resources play through now that I have a better idea about the game and a bunch of blueprints I made.

3:55 ..... omg.... before seeing this.... i was opening the blueprint folder every single time i wanted to duplicate building with recipes and sorters... in order to get the sorters too... i had to manually click each single one...

I just started a map with 0.1 resources. It's weird, ngl.

One tip I learned that blew my mind is that you can place storage on top of splitters. The storage feeds to and from the splitter directly. You can also add a drone hat to the top of the storage which makes the splitter/storage/drone setup perfect for feeding factories.

I was searching for Minimal runs and this showed up. Even in minimal you can get infinite resources if you push Veins Utilization to high levels.

It's really just the rare resources that are the problem. Some like spiniform stalagmite you might only have three planets in your entire map that have it. I'd rather not deal with it. Iron, copper, coal, titanium, silicon. Who cares. Once you get far enough into vein utilization infinite research you'll never run out of those. They're just about on every planet.

Since I wanna try to go big with energy production, unlimited resources is a must, especially when I get side tracked making a giant Rainbow Road out of on of my Dyson Swarms.
