I don’t call it the ugly stage either I call it the maturing stage

I just started my third loc journey. I had locs for 5 years it was waist length I cut them off because of locs were popping off because of the weight. I restarted the same day and had the second set for 6 years and cut those off because my texture changed after I had my daughter and the new growth wasn’t attaching. Here I am 16 years later starting from short comb coils. Like you I came to KZbin and was like SAY WHAT?!!! 😱😱 loc extensions and instant locs!!! Wow!! No thanks! I’ll go through the journey! I don’t watch instant loc or loc extension videos either #sorrynotsorry. I know this video is a year old and you may not see this comment but, I pray you and your little princesses are doing well! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾♥️ Much love!

Your locs are gorgeous, color and curls. I don’t know how any of you make videos consistently. I’m a month into my 2nd set and plan to be very low maintenance. I also stick with a couple products that work. Just makes sense. Good luck with your new path.

Personally it’s not I feel like I have wig weave braids attach to your hair that’s like big chop u holding onto hair that’s dead i wana start from scratch bc it’s my hair my journey I have nothing holding me back to remind me of fake hair I grew it from my body if it’s short I’ll wear wigs other then that I’ll not be wearing no loc extensions

Someone with loc extensions saw my hair and was like you should just get loc extensions...I was like nope I'm going through this ground up. I agree with you and I can't stand the fakers shaming those of us willing to go through this journey.
