I grew up with a very conservative (and a little paranoid) mom, so I have the perspective and being dressed age appropriate but also wanting\ understanding some sort of freedom. Not only is it potentially attracting predators, but it’s also uncomfortable and potentially even dangerous. Toddlers need care, they’re fragile. It’s not hard for someone so small and weak on their own to get cold, especially when fall and winter roll around. If it’s cold enough, todders are much more at risk of frostbite since they have such small fingers and toes, even their limbs and nose. My perspective, from coming from a mom a felt was a little overbearing but was thankful she didn’t expose me like that, is what I think is a good medium. I don’t care about a slighty short shirt, that at most reveals a couple centimeters, in a boiling hot summer is fine. A two piece as long as everything is completely covered plus a little more is fine, it’s swimwear and usually hot. Sleep shorts being short is fine, but not for daily wear. There’s no good reason to give your baby a little crop top and micro skirts.

Adding here since it’s related but not the same as what I was saying, I have my theories. I think a lot of this comes from the erasure of the tween stage of life where the line between kid and adult is more blurred now, there’s no bar in between anymore. I think this also comes from parents not wanting control how their children dress when their parents did, especially if they were overly strict. I also think this may come from the fact that children’s clothes are cheaper than adult since there’s less fabric used, so it’s one of those toxic “live vicariously through my children” situation when they can’t afford a full wardrobe for themselves, especially, like you said, in the age of fast fashion where it’s even cheaper. It could also be an ego thing where, if your child is fashionable and looks like even they have money, you look like you have more status. Flexing is so popular online these days, it’s likely. It’s stupid but I don’t doubt it factors in. It’s a child, they don’t need to be exposed to these toxic concepts. Teaching materialism and that life is a popularity contest isn’t okay, it’s concerning. In the end, any child not on social media through all this will likely be okay, but it worries me what’ll happen to these kids being taught that shallow things like societal, conventional beauty.

Ok- lady parking in the street: the streets are narrow in many subdivisions in Tampa. Parking in the street is also not allowed for obvious reasons. It’s dangerous as well as offering crappy visibility. So you’re mad because you were told that what you’re doing is wrong and you’re snitching on other folks? Tell them, but don’t call the cops. They weren’t the petty neighboroonies. Give them a heads up to avoid this mess, but don’t call the law! 😂 this doesn’t make you toe to toe petty. It just makes you mean.

Convinced my ex husband was gay. He was super homophobic that he would be downright nasty talking about my gay bestie. Faggot was the biggest insult one could call him. And during sex he would want me laying face down. And he wouldnt even touch me, just put it in. I swear I’ve been through pretty much everything shitty in life. Yes, I was a victim of being with someone who is DL. I had two children with that bastard and guess how I found out he’s DL….OUR CHILDREN found out!!! They were using his computer for school work and his apple phone account was connected to it and they saw all the sexual content between their father and other men he was meeting online. I didn’t want to believe it. They told me they weren’t lying and I never believed they were lying, but I did not want to believe it was true, but knew it was true since it came from them. My son actually copied some of the videos and texts between the men and sent it to my phone. I wanted to cry sooo badly, but couldn’t. This was years after he and I had already broken up. I’m not even sure if he was already doing these things while he and I were together, but he’s still using women as beards and has a new girlfriend who has daughters and everything. He’s so deceitful it’s disgusting. Even my children are over him being gay (pretty much). Just be honest with yourself. If you’re gay be gay. Who cares? Nobody cares these days! Move on! But using women and procreating with us is disgusting and wrong!!!

I have a 7yo girl, 23 yo boy & 21 yo girl so I have seen fashions for kids change over the last 20+yrs. I buy my youngest daughter boy t shirts & shorts & trousers because the lack of range of decent girls clothes is across the board, whether it’s low or high end. They all seem to promote adult styles regardless. My daughter quite often chooses boy clothes when she comes shopping with me it’s very rare for her to select anything from girl ranges so I’m down for that. People need to stop dressing their babies like ‘sexy’ grown a&& adults. Parents need to take responsibility come on now!!

I had a neighbor who thought my dog's bark was unnatural. Her dog had it's voice box removed. So she tried killing my dog 4 separate times. By letting him out of the back yard to get hit by a car x2, poisoned raw meat, tried to hit me with her truck while on a walk with him. My cop friends told me to set up a security system to collect evidence on her. Because everytime they showed up she would hide in her house. We decided to move and I'm petty. I hooked up my stereo system and pointed speakers towards her house full volume. Found on KZbin dogs barking for 24hrs straight. She tried to counter with music by my stuff is louder. Had a great time laughing my ass off
