Hi, sorry about the late hour I have a MG4 like yours, I just watched your video regarding the connection of the Dash Cam. I would like to ask you, if I don't use the 2Pin fuse adapter for the foreseeable future, can I still connect everything like you did? although I imagine it's not a job done properly... I'm telling you this because in the space of a week my car was all over the passenger side... so I decided to install the Dash. Could you tell me how I get power for sentry mode? Hi, thanks for the video. I have installed the headunit yesterday, but I cant seem to adjust the reverse camera lines. Did u find a way to adjust the lines?

For my non metallic white mg4, I figured I don't need to spend heaps for ceramic kits for shine. My priority is protective shell achieved with premium wax so I got the autoglym uhd wax. Applied a thin coating then hand buff on the day I got my car. A week later another thin application. Then every month I just use autoglym 's ceramic easy spray on for shine. Very happy with autoglym products. Proper British car care for a British car that's made in China 😅 But for the black plastic trims I use meguiar's ultimate protectant. And for the easily scratched piano black, I use meguiar's plastix. Works wonders but be sure light coats then buff quickly before it dries.

Are you treating the top of the rear lights? That plastic sure looks like it won’t age well on the MG4

Nice one, looks great, I'm to lazy to spend that much time, I just do the wash section, then use spray on speed wax, fast and shiny, for me that's a good enough look, considering my older cars were all 2nd hand and had paint damage from previous owners, now having a new MG4 with immaculate paint is already a bonus 😊

Great video. Thanks for sharing. 😊similar process to what I did. I did take the covers off the wheels to decontaminate them and the alloys hidden behind. Most Ceramic coats - despite what the dealer says - will also do plastic and glass. So it works great on those wheel covers , alloys and all the plastic trim - including lights. An afternoon’s investment in the paint was worth the effort for me - and maintaining the car takes even less time than before. The shine is awesome.

What does the stock music player look like? Is it better to suited to driving then the android units one? Does play from the next folder automatically with music from usb?

Thanks, works well. Only is when swapping between phones have to go in and reconnect via Bluetooth. It only seems to remember one phone. This kind of defeats the purpose of wireless and a real pain as my wife and I are always swapping cars. Is there a setting I am missing? We both have Apple phones.

Awesome car for the money. Hopefully they bring a refresh with the bigger, faster screen Chinese models get to Australia soon. Reckon the Essence 64 is a bit steep though, too close in price to options like the BYD Seal. 51 Excite with the LFP battery is the pick of the bunch

The one AliExpress sent me is CPC200-CP2A. I believe this is version 4, not 5. It doesn't work with my Galaxy A52 5G. It's showing Carplay, although I connected an Android phone. I haven't yet tried it with my wife's iPhone, but I bought it to work with my Android phone. A waste of $55.

Excellent video. Followed it to connect my new Carlinkit 5.0 to my MG4 and my iPhone for apple carplay. Easy to set up thanks to your clear step by step. The only issue I’ve had in the first 48 hrs is when the system on the MG goes black once CarPlay show as connected and then tries to talk to my phone.

Those are still the mk1 model. dont they sell the mk2 in australia ? They only sold the mk1 here (France, Europe) for 6 months. i got an essence 64 with the heat pump. Paid about 30K here. I have about 20,000km on it, over a year and a half. bought the same charger, and it charges at 2/2.2K so that has nore to do with your electricity system. The software has a lot of bugs. Did you notice no buttons on the steering wheel work when mirror cameras are on for example ? The phone app is kind of meh but it does the job. The latest software update for the car is supposed to have the planner integrated. I dont care about deprecation; I needed a car at that point, i got a lot of incentives (which disappeared now). a tesla 3 sure is better, but it costs 15k more. And i dont think it is worth 15k more. Pretty sure the MG4 has OTA for infotainment system. Maybe not the entry level. It has one competitor here, the BYD. the mg4 is better. BTW I noticed range got better with the latest imbedded software version (not the one with the planner, the previous one), if you have an old version, try it. Probably because it has a revised speed governor ( i use mine mostly on highways). TL;DR: car is good, but the software is pretty bad, and that includes "driving aids" unfortunately, esp. the lane assist that tried to throw me in a ditch a couple of times. That seems fixed on newer firmware though. stil, not something I expect from a car that is publicly sold.

Hi. After 4-5 days of working perfect. Now it took to the adapter more than 30-40 minutes to restart. While is trying to connect to my MG4 car. It reflects for on my multimedia screen became dark. Can you provide any useful idea in which I will solve my problem. Thanks David

Thank you for demonstrating the Car unit the calling kit 5.0. I bought it from AliExpress after you demonstrated it. It worked perfectly. after buying 2 other adapters that didn't connect automatically upon starting my car which is the same as you have the MG4 - Also found to avoid the black screen. 😒 this adapter works perfectly. don't work in my 2024 MG 4 and have try every thing, first setup is ok bur next time I get in the car it can't connect to bluetooth more than 10-20 sec and the CarPlay is in connect loop , and yes the startup delay is set to 20 sec, have tryst 30 sec but still connect loop, using iPhone 15 pro iOS 18.1

Personally i prefer mine without, the spoiler adds extra drag and lower miles /kwh

We were dead set on buying a 51 Excite demo, for about the same price as the new price dropped to a few weeks later. We wouldn’t have been too upset at the deal, even after the price drop, as the demo had almost no km on it anyway. Anyway, we instead bought a 2019 M3 Standard Range Plus with 69,000 km on the clock, from Tesla. We already have a 2021 M3 Long Range, bought new, so we knew what to expect. We did the deal within a couple of days, including trade-in and change-over price. The trade was our 2021 MG ZSEV. We didn’t go anywhere near a dealership. It was all done over the phone, and the Tesla app. I think for the same asking price, about $34,000, on the road, delivered to us, trade-in taken away on the return run, we got a way better car. It drives like a new one. It gets all the updates, of course. A couple of minor faults were fixed by Tesla under warranty. It’s the very earliest version to come to Australia, so it has the smallest battery fitted to an M3, 50 kWh. I’d imagine range is around that of the MG4 51 Excite. On a recent road trip, using the Tesla Supercharger network, the SR+ was range anxiety free. No problems at all. The Tesla Service Centre in Adelaide have been fantastic to deal with over the 3.5 years we’ve had our original M3. We’re stoked to be in the privileged position of having 2 Teslas. I’m sure we’d have been happy with the MG4. We were pretty keen, until our change of mind.

can you switch off the lane assist and auto breaking systems?

what's the latency like ? the previous one ive tried in my leaf has had quite bad latency on things like google maps.

The info in the zhnn site says it's not compatible with most Samsung phones, so I might play it safe and get the carlinkit one
