Just my opinion formed from nothing but what I heard here, but Oscar is way too nice and Johnny is taking advantage of that. Johnny gives nothing but an endless stream of excuses, equivocations, deflections, etc. If I were in Oscar's position I'd tell Johnny to spare me the tear-jerking details of your family drama, it's not my problem, leave both our families out of this and just pay up. Oscar by entertaining the family drama/personal problems discussion is just playing into Johnny's obvious plan to put this debt off indefinitely and ultimately weasel out with barely half of it paid. If I were a judge with power to arbitrate this dispute I would find for Oscar and order any available assets of Johnny's seized and liquidated to satisfy the debt, and if that forced Johnny into filing for bankruptcy then so be it. I realize that in the case of bankruptcy that Oscar would not get paid but I don't think he will ever get paid any other way unless maybe Johnny has a car in his name that can be seized by a court and sold at auction for $6000 or something like that.

He let himself get pu22y-whipped out of a once in a lifetime chance to hang with Tiger Woods, lol. No chance of anything like that ever happening to him now, but when a guy is young he's just powerless against it.

You ask how pool can become popular again ? (1) First, get the high schools to have pool leagues to get the kids away from drugs. (2) Get APA and BCA to ban loud music in the places their leagues play and ban rap music too. (3) Pool halls should have "dry sundays" so church goers can play after church with no booze. (4) Senior centers and old folks homes should send teams to senior tournaments buy bus. Pool halls should have Thursday morning senior billiards clubs. (5) In a gambling city or venue, hold local pool duels on a 10 or 12 foot table in an arena, perhaps combined with a pro wrestling event.

team Europe won and deservedly so, but it was nice to hear Johan saying the break and layout after the break were obvious difference btw teams. anyone could see it, still many downplayed this. that was one difference I noticed bc it was clear to see.
@Itsmetheguy727 күн бұрын
Yes but he still said that team Europe found a solution. A way to break better. The Americans did not find a solution. It's hard for me to believe that year in and year out "bad luck" is the issue

I think his point about how much Americans play one pocket is the biggest thing. If you want to play pool in America and eat and sleep inside, then you have to spend most of your time playing one pocket. In Europe and the Philippines, you can get by on rotation games alone.

Second Mosconi cup, first in the USA. It over delivered for me. Great production but more so even better experience. As a European I sat with the Americans. Played pool every night in the hotel lobby. This is what Mosconi should be all about. It’s a spectacle
@richard0807Ай бұрын
One thing you Americans miss is that most European pool players start by playing snooker. A bigger table, smaller pockets, much more safety play. When they transition to pool, it feels like an easier game. I know it's different and there are complex strategies in pool that need practice, but generally, if you're a good snooker player, you'll be an awesome pool player. It's so simple. Get your players playing snooker for 9 months, and then see how they perform in the Mosconi Cup. Missed pots will be few and far between, and their safety play will be way smarter. Just a thought...
@pechinmaАй бұрын
no, we don't. only a few british players do
@richard0807Ай бұрын
@@pechinma Maybe you should try! You'd be a better player if you did! Countless examples of great pool players having played snooker initially (Melling, Boyes, Appleton). Even Corey Duell started practising snooker in order to improve his pool.
