If you put a small tarp on the roof and then the rainfly on top it would hold heat in better .... I ordered one and I may consider doing that

What breed of goats did you have? What were your overall thoughts? Sounds like some small goat.

I do my zucchini and yellow squash very similar to the way you do. I also do a LOT of shredded zucchini, dried zucchini (both in narrow slices and also in rounds). I'm not overly fond of zucchini pickles so I don't do that but i DO make relish with them and love that!

uh, size matters! The small 6-8" size works best. You are wasting precious freezer space if you cut up and freeze the large squash. I tried freezing all of my zucchini on parchment paper, single layer on cookie sheets and then pouring the individually frozen pieces into ziplock bags. The smaller the whole zucchini was to begin with, the better they DEFROSTED and had structure for using in recipes. The LARGER the zucchini started out, the mushier they defrosted. It had nothing to do with the size of the pieces you cut the bigger squash into, it had to do with the amount of pulp in the larger squash vs the smaller squash. Zucchini is 98% water with very little fiberous structure in the middle so when you cook them fresh you barely have to cook them to get them tender. If you cook them too long even the smaller squash will turn to mush. The bigger the squash you cook the mushier they cook up from the start, thats why the over-grown large zucchini is used primarily in making quick breads, the amount of water in the bigger squash cooks down into water and substitutes for the liquid in the quick bread (zucchini bread) recipe. Same goes with freezing. If you still want to freeze the larger zucchini expect to blend them into smoothies so your kids get a few vitamins in their day. its mostly the skins that has any nutrition left at that size. I've been growing my own produce and canning and freezing it for 45 years. Thats my experiance.

I love making zucchini/pineapple bread, so now I'm making and canning shredded zucchini pineapple, so I don't have to purchase the pineapple for my bread, and it is wonderful for making pineapple upside down cake.

freezing it requires freezer space, going to try pressure canning it since we have more shelf space in cool pantry area than freezer space!

I froze mine last year like you did, but it was mush when I thawed it out. There was no freezer burned bags so I was really disappointed how they turned out. They were so mushy they didn't taste good in soup and were too rubbery to be used in zucchini bread. This year I'm going to pickle all of the excess because my pickles from last year turned out great. Thx for your video!

Hey, I was wondering if you could check and see what side of the tent your e-port is on. I'm camping out for Sukkot too and we'll be using this tent with a nursery heater and maybe that tarp trick another commenter mentioned. I'm in central Indiana so it'll probably be cold. Maybe during the day too.

Since being celiac I can't have ramen. A good alternative is the rice ramen noodles from Costco. Those are even better than regular ramen. Thicker noodles in texture. Still the same ramen flavor and you can literally make whatever flavor broth you want. It's my favorite.

I've made oatmeal go cups before and they're delicious. I think this time I'll blend the oats to make it more of a cake batter texture. I am realizing I don't enjoy whole oats when warm. How far in advance can you make and freeze these oat cups? I'm due in June and I want to start meal prepping but idk how early to begin. Lol.

Hello, like your video. Sorry for the crop. I don't grow anything yet but watching videos to learn. Hoping to start this new year. Have you seen the channel "Allotment Diary" he does wonderfully with container gardening. You might also want to check out "Simplify Gardening" and "Hollis and Nancys Homestead" KZbin channels. Wish you the best of luck! If it helps you any I have watched all the videos I could find on potatoe towers and NONE have succeeded in any way worth trying.

I did try the dinner muffins on the back of the great value gf flour and they came out really really dense. I am high altitude could that be the difference? Your biscuits didn’t look really dense. I love biscuits and gravy, and miss them so much being gf. I do usually use the fat from my meat instead of butter in the gravy, yummy. Yours look great!

Hi, these look great! The banana bread looks great! What gf flour would you use? I love oatmeal but can’t tolerate it now even as flour. If you have a great flour blend you use for breads, or make one, I would love to try it! Thank you! None of my gf breads turn out right with any gf blends I have tried😢.

I know everything is relative to where you live and everything has gone up. But a dozen eggs at the cheapest where I am in Canada is $4.50. So stock up when you see sales. It’s really hard to balance a budget right now.

Walmart Canada pricing (choosing least expensive items) Cream cheese $2.47 Eggs (12) $3.78 Green bell pepper (1) $1.56 Breakfast sausage $4.79 Potatoes (5lbs) $4.97 Total $17.75 Plus I would have to drive an hour to get there and an hour back (gas). Food is even more expensive at the local in town grocery store, (dozen eggs $4.50 for example). Even with the exchange rate between Canadian and American dollars this is more than double what your cost was for this recipe.

Shred some of it and pack it in a greased 1 cup measuring cup and turn it over onto a cookie sheet and put in freezer. When it’s frozen put it in a freezer bag. Now you have one cup zucchini pucks for zucchini bread or any other recipe with no need to guess 🤓👍
