Whenever I play tyranids against custodes, I use one squad of gaunts to form the great wall of termagaunts and suicidally charge primaries

Great video, I would love to see a similar video of the admech combat patrol since I picked that up before the tyranid one and I'm struggling with it. I got the old one with the dunecrawler but I'd imagine all admech has the same-ish problems that I've encountered.

Combat blade on a reiver is 4/5, fists do 3/4

Use the Phobos Strike Team rules as they are superior to the Compendium Rules you are referencing. Combat Blade does 4/5 in Phobos Rules but 3/4 in Compendium

A good video and agree on most things, but I’d have to disagree with you on a few fronts. You can’t run the same plan for different opponents. Not every opponent/faction is the same. The better secondary to take is the optional one where you score 5VP if you hold the opponents home objective. If you take the default secondary you need to expose your winged prime to danger in order to get the kills, he is not durable even with a +4 invulnerable and will die. If he dies you cannot use shadow in the warp and you lose any synapse benefits. Termagaunts should run in squads of two in most cases, this gives you two squads who have sticky objectives which are invaluable for scoring.

This made me happy. I was on a tight budget and new to the hobby. Was randomly looking at this box. (Was really thinking hard which one i wanted to play when the store owner came up. Recommended the starter set i did the math and it just made sence basically 2 combat patrols for 155 euro (ye i got the librarian and the barbs separate, to complete.) Instead of 130 for 1. Then i got home was still hyped about the deal and then it set in. Tyranids are pretty cool but dont think i would have ever picked them and for the space marines i guess i dont mind but it is an army i was always scared of for the kitbashing needs of certain chapters (thinking of salamanders atm or raven) but this tyranid playstyle is right up my ally. Guess its time for my nids to get some paint in time for this weekends local gamenight.

Wraithbone spray paint as the base, Agrax earthshade, with troll slayer orange, then I put a metallic medium to give them a shine, then Agrax earthshade again with a TINY AMOUNT of Ryza rust dry brushed over it to give it a slightly run down rusty feel.

Excellent channel, liked and subscribed. I'm in a weird position whereby I have played a lot of 40k over the years, peaking with 8th edition (played hundreds of games). Due to time constraints I missed 9th edition entirely and now, just starting 10th edition, I have been out of the loop for long enough to feel like a beginner again! Channels like yours are excellent for gamers such as myself, thank you!

I am playing my first game tomorrow with Nids as well! Was good to hear a perspective on the play style and strengths before going in. Always felt that the Prime would be better to hold back and not just get blown off the board before he has a chance to impact and score VP. Sad about the psychophage. I really enjoyed painting it and it is probably my best looking model, just before my Prime. I wonder if the FNP will come in handy at all...

@@troyschnierer2940I won both my matches against the sisters easily. In both matches, I advanced my leapers deep to the enemy side which severely tied up there units for the for 3 rounds while I used termagaunts to grab objectives. And the psychophage was very useful as meat shield. I put him in the middle of the board and my opponent wasted tons of attacks on it without being able to kill it. Both matches were blowouts for the swarm. Good luck!

sick ive spent like 50 bucks on just trying to learn how to paint. I bought a intercessor space marine set for 29 bucks on amazon. Came with some paints and 3 models. Then bought the tools nstuff and some extra paint. I might just strip the paint off and paint them again just to learn. And I actually think it's pretty fun. I think I'm just gonna buy models that look cool to me to paint and then later i'll try to get into the game. Cause yea it's expensive as shit. lol I've played some of the WH40k video games and I've been enjoying learning about the lore nstuff. It's so ridiculous and awesome. I guess I just really like the vibe of WH40K and I want to paint some models. Thanks for this video! I'm gonna bookmark for later 👍 Also, do you guys think it'd be just as easy to find ppl playing KillTeam at our local shop? I know ppl play there all the time

A little tip from my side. You can get an free intercessor from most GW Shop. So you can even have one Intercession gunner with a grenade launcher (just point that out to your opponent beforehand).

Typhus gives -1 to hit in melee, and makes the deathshroud tough to kill on top of their natural -1 to wound. Typhus makes deathshroud feel oppressive
