Use hose pinchers to hold coolant from leaking or drain the radiator. Secondly you need to drain the block to prevent any water getting into the oil pan. The drain plug is on the upper right side of the block using a 6 or 8 mm Allen socket.

Damn it; Falcon thank you for the video but Damn it. Please understand I'm an old ass. So please be considerate, I was dreading changing the valve cover gaskets, you gave me the encouragement to get it done. I'm the kind of person that judges a book by its CONTENT, I get to the end of the video I say hell yes to give this video and you a thumbs 👍. Dude/ sir what ever respect you want. Give a man time to hit the thumb button. I had to restart the video so I can hit the bottom. This was my first time watching your videos, Mr falcon/ how about that respect. I'm an old ass, i subscribed The author you had my respect , I'll probably hit the bottom sooner because if you were a book I judge you as understand and spot spot on. 👍

The part on amazon is slightly different than the one you posted on the video. 4861962AB is what's on Amazon and 4861962AD is what is posted/seen on the graphic in the video. Are they the same part? Or does it matter? I've got a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. FYI - the dealer wanted to replace my ESIM module for $672, so that's why I looked this up and found your video. I've been having the P0456 code pop up several times and have spent $1500 with the dealer this far alone to "fix" the engine code...only to have it come on again. So THANK YOU for the video!

I just had the water pump change and I'll tell you it was definitely a job. Everything went easy but the four 13 mm bolts on the water pump. All four 13 mm long bolts go into the timing chain cover into the block. 2 of them were really stuck in there and trying to get them out where a bitch. I should have took a picture of them. They bring some of the gasket material out from the timing cover from what I could see. It was very hard to pull them out. I thought they were going to strip. And then the timing cover on the left side started leaking a little bit after the complete install of the water pump. Then after several attempts of tightening the 13 mm bolts more it looks like it finally stopped. I would highly recommend that doing this water pump install you might have to replace the timing cover gasket as well especially if it's an older Lucerne with many miles. The other four little 10 mm bolts only go into the water pump. So far so good no leaks, 🤞 I think what happens is the Dex Cool antifreeze eats all the gaskets especially the upper intake lower intake and the timing cover gaskets. If you have a 100,000 miles or more on your car you going to have to replace some eventually

That's a great video. Very down to the point for everything to do this job. One quick question. I know you didn't use a torque bar on the bolts on the water pump. But if you had to use a torque bar what are the four large bolts in the torque specs,? and the four small bolts on the water pump in torque specs? But if you did it at torque specs could you just tell me what they would be? Thanks so much for your help

Bought a used '99 Miata years ago. From the get go it had a howl on the highway. From past experience I assumed a worn differential. Hard to determine origin on a car with such a short and narrow wheelbase. In a Miata you're almost literally sitting on the rear axle so it was narrowed to the rear of the car. I thought..oh well, should have caught it before purchase. Many miles later it became clear that it was the right rear wheel bearing. I happened to had just bought a shop press to replace a front bearing on my '87 Toyota hatchback. (I had taken it to a mechanic for replacement and he replaced the wrong side) The wife now owned the Miata so she paid me to replace the bearing and I saved enough money doing my own work to pay for the press! Now I've owned a barely used shop press for 15 years!
