Why did everyone think it was a smaller plane???? Makes zero sense. OPEN YOUR EYES!! It’s really really really easy to tell the difference between a small plane and a commercial passenger airplane. Idiots

I'm from the group that was in our late teens/early 20s in 2001, and any innocence we had left in us was stolen the moment the 2nd plane hit...

It gave me the shivers when I saw the date on the bottom of the screen, September 11, 2001. Scary. To see them cut into the special report was gut wrenching. Could you imagine what people working in the Empire State Building must have been feeling? The fear?

What I remember a lot from this was the non stop news coverage over the next few weeks was beginning to have a serious effect on people mentally, including myself. I realized I could only watch so much news a day and had to put other things on. The anxiety was terrible if I didn't.

These news companies need to learn when there doing a live video to reduce the size of there logos and font size its blocking parts of the video. They need to put it at the top or bottom where there is no screen.Im not impressed or interested with the weather readings or your stupid logos i want to see the actual video

Many people consider this sad and shocking day the real moment that symbolises the end of the 20th century (some others may say it was the end of Soviet Union or even 2008 crisis). It's weird how the book they are talking about in the beginning of this video is a biography of Howard Hughes, an excentric billionaire from the first half of last century who was played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the movie called The Aviator that shows how passionate by planes and movies Hughes was.

I can tell from the moment they were talking to matchbox 20 wife u can see the outside window people were already in chaos even before the reporters knew. And thats insane that one of the host said the suspect may be bin laden right after he saw the second plane hit live on his screen! Very eerie and accurate!

What boggles my mind is how the Today Show came back from the break at 8:47 pretending like nothing happened for 5 minutes before saying “I’m gonna have to interrupt you to a live shot at the World Trade Center”. The plane hit at 8:46, the explosion was probably heard on every inch of Manhattan….like seriously, guys?

@@ShikataGaNai100 you cared enough to devote time to a comment. You say it like I’m the first to notice that even his coworkers like Katie Couric found him sexist. As she recently told Bill Maher. To other coworkers he was described as “was an arrogant tyrant who couldn't take the mistakes of his co-workers. To them, his crude, humorless demeanor wasn't what they wanted to watch first thing in the a.m.”.

Considering I was in 7th grade, I have pretty vivid memories of the day and watching the news at school until they made everyone turn off their tvs. I find it interesting to see all these different morning shows and news reports and seeing how it was interpreted and such at the time. That said, I don’t like to make any jokes about the day, but id bet those extra mojitos and whatever other alcoholic drinks at the beginning got scooped up quickly as the day went on.

I was in 7th grade watching this on TV while getting ready for school that morning. I had never heard of the WTC prior to this day. I went into my sister’s room and asked my mom if she had heard of the WTC in New York. She said of course, and I informed her there was some sort of explosion. By the time I was dropped off at school, the second plane had hit, and the world was changed forever.
