What I read says hyacinths need to be kept moist and cold for a period of time prior to blooming. Is that true? Did you give them a moist/cold chilling?

I've been making a habit of buying "ugly" plants off the 50% off rack at my local nursery. I've had fantastic luck with rehabbing them. I'm here because my most recent purchase was a rhaphidophora, which I immediately cleaned up, just like this, because the roots were completely rotted.

Could you possibly make a video of like a 30 day care manual? like how often you water it, how much you water it, and the ideal conditions like humidity and what kind of soil? That would be much appreciated, tag me in the video if you ever make it.

The point of pulling out the lower leaves was? Did you thought it would balance the root pruning? In my mind the leaves of Vandaceous types have also a retention function as they don't have pseudobulbs and they will sacrifice themselves on their own as needed by the plant.

Thank you for your comment, No I didn't I thought that it made the plant look more neat.

Just bought one three days ago. I've got her in a tote with a cup holder humidifier and a 2 hour grow light directly above. But wait, there's more, flanking her on both sides are 2 more grow lights for my other plants😂 They stay on for 12 hrs as the sun doesn't like my room all too much. Wish me luck 👍

Thank you for this info. I went to Walmart today and saw a dying ZZ for 20$...I wasn't going to pay 20 for a dying plant....but she still had two healthy leaves left.....so I took them. :| I'm not a usual plant thief, I swear. I just felt so bad for the ZZ. She hadn't been watered in God knows how long and the soil was covered in gnats trying to find even a tiny amount of moisture. So I'm going to try and save her. 😅
