Spend more time prepping for the dive than the actual dive! You "technical divers" who dive deep to see nothing crack me up 😂 😂 😂

I was worried when you said you route the cord under your long hose (cuz I was figuring you were going to line trap when you clip it off) but I was very happy to see how you clipped your light off! Thx for the tips!

What if the valve is stuck to the steeltank with m25x2 thread?
@SeattleRingHunter8 ай бұрын
19:12 on recreational cylinders, we see dive shops and manufactures suggesting crystal lune be applied to the valve threads before screwing into the dive cylinder. Is it common practice to omit the grease when performing an O2 cleaning or one of those debatable points of preferance?

Struck or stuck as in seized? Likely locked by unmanaged salt water that has seized. Have you tried soaking the valve in fresh water for a period of time?

I followed this method to rig my can light, and I LOVE it. I switched to this after inadvertently "blinding" the boat captain on a night dive when I used the normal tied-on bolt snap. Now, I can clip my light to face down. Only problem I had was when my knot on the small bungee on the gland came undone. I re-tie and shrink tubing solved that issue.

Great video, thanks! Is there such a thing as "being too fit to dive"? What would be, in your opinion, the minimum fitness level for a diver? And how to assess that we are fit enough to dive?

Given the developments since 2012 Navy study (NEDU) we learned that keeping the bubble size small was not a good concept and deep stops in this Ratio deco should be rethought. Do you now have a different strategy and change your deep stops? Watching Simon Mitchel and David Doolette, I even think 30/80 needs a modification.

Thanks for your comment. That is also exactly what we did. Here you can find the latest news from us at UTD our changes made to RATIO DECO, now called Ratio Deco 3.0. Check it out on our youtube channel. kzbin.info

@tedlavino29753 жыл бұрын
All good tips especially the bonus. One thing though, I have no problem reaching back far enough, i.e reaching the manifold. It’s getting my hands outboard enough to reach the knobs that’s the problem. Also suggest moving the chest area of your dry suit up towards your shoulders when inflating to give your shoulders room to move up as you rotate them (same issue as not enough material under the arm). One last thing - wouldn’t it help pulling the shoulder straps up off your shoulders against the crotch strap? On land during mod valve drill I sink down to do the same thing to reach my valves...

Oxygen clean, but... no nitrile gloves. Also is the plier oxyge clean? A lot of places to introduce hydrocarbons to the internal parts of the valve. Tainki into account that yhe internals should handle really high pressure O2! Not very professional.
@SeattleRingHunter8 ай бұрын
I was quite concerned with the bare hands handling of the cleaned components. Let’s face it most bench air compressors used to air blast parts dry needs to be seriously considered as to what quality of air is being used. 😮
