I agree regarding you approach regarding the comfort zone and the no need to use it for night dives. But what about ice diving. In my experience we only use it under ice. You can you two lines one for each one, or you can use one long line and the body line. The main point of the lines is if something goes wrong the people that are giving security to you on the mine can take you out. Mainly the signals with your buddy are actually done in the normal way, it you are passing signals throw the line to the security people.

I've seen little kids on "mommy lines," but never a diver on a buddy line. That's really a thing?

Is eating bullfinches while recording a video some kind of strange Danish tradition? Er det at spise bullfinches under optagelse af en video en slags underlig dansk tradition?

hmmm. Seen from nordic region.. i hear arguments like driving a car with out a seatbelt.. In the nordic i always dive with a buddy line.. sight from 40 feet to 0 if someone hit the dirt ... easy to yoke the line .. to tell direction and hay.. see here... diving thats a 2 man sport.. you a thinking as individual. You think you know where your buddy are after he /she tired up the dirt .. and you are in control --- :-) it can take under 5 sek. when buddy dives opposite ways.. and they never see each other again... to totally ignore buddy lines.. insane... cmas 3 star diver.
