If this guy knew how to pull a truck out of the mud, he would know to pull it out from the direction it went in. That means pull it out backward.

I am surprised they made it that far? Don't blame gps, I once had a security guard direct me down a street in Jersey, Where you came to a fence and the, you could only turn right, Sharp corner, cars on both sides of the street, I am driving a truck, with a 45 foot trailer, we are backing out, why, Because, there was NO way I could make the turn, I had a fence in front of me, And where I was going, was a bout three hundred yards catty cornered, to the LEFT, across a play ground. Purposely turned me down the wrong street. Chicago, call this number, they will keep you from running into low overpasses? NOT, had to back out. GPS, took us, ( at least nine of us, ) down a two lane road, in Tn., to a T intersection, We dead straight, across the river, on the wrong side of the dam, From where we supposed to be? Life is good, no? I love retirement.

I've pulled tow hooks out of frames with a stretch rope. One hook was a typical two bolt tow hook. Ripped it out of the frame of an early bronco. The hook went through my rear shock metal cover and put a dent in my frame. For big yanks, hook directly to the frame or axle or nothing. With yanks your dealing with unpredictable forces. I live in the rust belt and I've seen whole hitches get ripped off.

A tip for next time! Attach to the rims and set parking brake so as to not damage the chassis components.😊

Not all Towing companies are assholes, 😅 just most that only help folks where it's easy, clean. Makes me sick as a retired wrecker owner/operator today. I would have taken this pizza delivery car out easily and not ever got my wrecker stuck 😂😂😂❤

Retired Owner, operator of a small Towing company in Northern Minnesota here. I rarely turned down anyone needing help, even for dumb reasons. My wrecker is a 1993 F-Super duty or F-450, 2 wheel drive Vulcan with wheel lift and a twin line winches. I ran very aggressive tires on the rear and only once did I require help to get my truck unstuck! I would never leave a customer, person stranded as that's insanely unprofessional and wrong 😮. I once had a person get their AWD stuck with a small trailer Attached on an abandoned logging road that hasn't been maintained in years, the driver had driven over a large snow pile to use the road which they thought went to a cabin they had recently bought. I ran out 175 feet of winch cable plus I used every chain and strap I had on my truck to reach the trailer. I succeed in pulling them out. I traveled almost 70 miles away from my shop to find them as no other tow companies serviced the area the customer told me. BS, lazy towing companies didn't want to get their trucks dirty or scratched!! Absolutely bull crap, IMPO.😂❤

Or the four tow points on most trucks…. I’ve pulled out so many vehicles. And yes I’ve used my hitch a few times for a quick pull. But never on anything substantial or when the surface isn’t flat like if the vehicle is down hill same forces apply….

I did not need to see this video to figure this out, I did notice in your videos you don't use these rings, tells me you know better, I have been a mechanic all my life and don't see how a rope sliding around a ring will not create friction and generates heat. I don't own one and never will.

Helicopter 🚁 could pull that thing out. No idea what it would cost. If someone is really hungry for the money, it might be able to be brought up to running condition where it sits and it could help itself get out with assistance. I just don’t understand how it could possibly have gotten stuck like it is. The bucket can darn near lift the entire thing itself. Could have drug itself, again and again until it could move on its own with just the tracks.

You’re never supposed to run your rope over any objects or edges just because a radius is turned into a ring I still think it’s a bad idea. Why not just use a snatch block and not have to worry about it?
