Luke 12: 47-48 And that servant, which knew his lord's will and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will shall be beaten with many stripes. But he that knew not and did commit many things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required and to whom men have committed much of him they will ask the more.

Great video on goal setting by starting with the year goal then breaking them down into chunks (quarterly, monthly, weekly, daily). Extremely helpful in prioritizing and getting stuff done with intention! Love it!

Wow! This video was amazing. I’m a small business owner and I really struggle with this (I too focus on constant improvement and I know that is negative when it’s all my team hear). I’ve watched quite a few videos on this topic and they’re all generic and corporatized answers. This was all specific and was all gold!

Thank you for this methodology of setting up Systems in a business. I finally say this has helped me TREMENDOSLY on getting started as I had no idea how to organize systems, and frankly where to start, even after learning so much about them. Creating the Playbook to have the separate tabs (Systems, References, Templates, Backlog) is well organized and really helps me keep this all together, without it being an disorganized. I love the cross-linking of different areas mentioned to make sure all areas are always referred to. Love your videos, and thank you for this!

Great video! Another question is why is product market fit so important in the discussion of the stock options? Yes, there is more risk to the company when joining before product market fit as opposed to after, but the later I join, the higher their valuation already is. Meaning to join before product market fit can also be a huge advantage to your gains.

Good video! Question at 7:20, why does it matter if you get diluted? If you get a fixed amount of shares for a strike price and the startup grows in value until the acquisition you make a profit on the value gain between strike price and exit price. Do I really care about the change in % on my shares?

Haha, classic double standard. When an employer cuts you from the running, you’re lucky if you even get a “thanks but no thanks” email, but as soon as you bow out, they expect a full-on performance review.

A real life analogy I’ve used before is imagine if you had your own wedding being planned. You are accountable for the outcome of your wedding but may have a wedding planner that is responsible for the co-ordinating the actual activities associated with it. So the wedding planner will do all the planning but the buck stops with you as the person who hired the wedding planner and you can jump in at any moment to change plans or suggest new changes. In addition when a decision is required the Wedding planner will often rely on you for the decision before going ahead, for example what type of cake or what colour of flowers. Being accountable will also mean that normally You are involved in signing off on things. So again the wedding planner may have arranged the seating plans or the food menu but it can’t be a committed plan without your sign-off. Being responsible means you have to “action” That thing without necessarily being the person that signs off that thing. Another analogy would be like having and accountant or a mechanic provide a service for you. In the bigger picture, you are accountable ultimately for the state of your car/finances and what happened to it, while the accountant/mechanic can be responsible for implementing things for you.

1) your plugs at the end to make a comment immediately persuaded my to write this comment/question…good strategy! 2) great video; concise informative, not a regurgitation of other common ideas out there. 3) checklist that is set up like a timeline and has priorities built in…money! 4) involve the assistant; it’s like being in 2 places at once if you have a good one. Great tip! Question: I’m in a high performing government organization. We recruit top talent and grow our own leaders, but there’s an average turnover rate of about 5-10 years due to the structure of the organization (military). Besides making the onboarding process fast and efficient, do you have any advice about how to get the most out of their time with you, and how to let them leave in a way that is best for them and the company? Appreciate the video… thanks for persuading me to comment 😉

Amazing information and I am so grateful for the knowledge. I found my assistant by sending out a recruiter person that was bold and had no shame approaching students on campus yet she ended up finding a person that was delivering packages for Uber. This assistant was better than any when I could’ve found so far she had excellent administrative qualities. She’s been a personal assistant before and an executive assistant has worked for many, hard work for celebrities and she is humble willing to learn and being in that position.
