I need your help and advice please. We met and lived together for 4 months (same home, in Japan). She then moved to Australia on working holiday visa. I had to move back to my country in Europe, I lost my job. I got a new job in Australia, but her visa is expiring, so I would need to bring her as a partner. We lived together for 4 months, the 9 months long distance. Do you think we can get the de facto?

Hey Emma, I'm just a tad bit confused on De Facto relationship So it does not matter if I marry my boyfriend or not... if the state considers us a De Facto relationship without us even signing anything regarding that, can my boyfriend still take half my assets if we break up from a boyfriend girlfriend relationship? I've been living in California with my boyfriend for 5 years with 2 children, no marriage (or any type of paperwork regarding us being together and i pay 100% of all bills). I availed the service of a migration agent and he is just literally a money making machine. He wants us to pay again because the skills assessment and English test have already expired during the pandemic. We all know that it is just a waiting game because of the pandemic restrictions nothing much happened since borders are closed and Australia is not accepting offshore applicants. There's no little consideration given to us. He said if we want to proceed then we should pay him again an amount which is even higher than what we have initially paid for.

I would like to know how this works specifically for New Zealand citizens on 444 visas living in Australia and married to an Australian in relation to "sponsorship" i work fulltime and spouse is on disability pension.... i read somewhere that my spouse would need to be able to support me financially but i dont think that applies to me as i am able to work as a NZ citizen here in Australia

Hi. Thank you for this informative video. I wanted to know whether I will get a Bridging visa (BVA) automatically if I have applied for an offshore partner visa (309) which is currently in process and then I have applied for a visitor visa 600 which has been granted now for 12 months. Depending on your case. When I first brought my wife on a holiday visa to Australia during her 309 offshore partner visa process. My wife gave birth to my child in Australia ongoing treatment for my child at the hospital allowed my wife to get a bridging visa to stay an extra 6 months. But it also delayed her partner visa by a few months. It only takes uoto 2 years to get the 309 and a few months later for the permanent subclass 100. But if you submitted your application after the new changes takes affect the temporary subclass visa processing time is now 8 years. . But that won't apply to you if you submit the application earlier
