Welcome to my writing vlog. I’ve been writing for years and it's an endless source of comfort. I take inspiration from nature, slow living, and travel. I talk about my childhood in Nigeria and how that inspired my writing and books. Watch my musings and see what inspires me as a writer and how I live.

Love this ❤ I’m working on my first book and I’ve done two all night sessions when my brain just wouldn’t stop. However, as a diabetic I know that lack of sleep raises my glucose so I do prioritize my health over productivity. Those two sessions though…wow! 🔥

This spoke to me so much 🥹 I love writing at night and I feel like I’m more willing to experiment/try new ideas and have better results later in the day. Only problem is that I stay up late but need to get up early 😭

Your videos are always so inspiring, even when I feel like giving up on my hobby. I write children's books for my children and read every other week at the local libraries. It brings me joy to see their faces and ask questions, but writing the next page, sentence, and word has been hard lately. Thank you for sharing always. Much appreciated.

Thank you so much for sharing a chapter (no pun intended) of your writer's journey. I'm enjoying this very much and I find myself drawn to your creative process. And strongly inspired by it. Watching your journey, it reminds me very much of Henry David Thoreau's "Walden" where the eponymous protagonist, a writer, retreats in isolation in the woods for inspiration. Even though I'm not a writer, I agree that the still evening hours helps enhance one's creativity, inspiring it further. And coincidentally, keeps you focused on the work at hand and stave off any external distractions. I draw and sketch on my morning/evening commutes and I draw and sketch best at midnight when it's nice and quiet. I sincerely wish you the best of luck and much continued success with both your writer's journey and your work. #creatives

@@thefantasystoryteller Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it and you. Truthfully, your evening writing sprints are just as moving and effective because the silence and slow energy involved let your imagination run wild and freely. And I also appreciate your using your ink and fountain pens because they render an old-school feel to your process!😀

Love this content 👌 I can relate as most of my work is done in the evenings/ at night ~ creative flow of ideas and little to no distractions . Just love your gentleness and authenticity in executing this video and inspiring us. This is beautiful. All the best with your writing, looking foward to watching your other videos. 🌻💛

I find myself still thinking about this. It looks like your work flow is to write out your stories by hand with a fountain pen. And then do you type them on your computer and edit from there? Do you write them by hand first first because of the flow that creates within you? Do you use a fountain pen for ease of writing and, perhaps, because you have a touch of fae that allows you to stand at the threshold between worlds and bring these stories in?

Yes I write by hand first as it's much easier then I type it all much later. Perhaps I do have a touch of fae 😊

Your handwriting looks stunning! Do you have any tips for people who experience hand pain when writing a lot by hand? Thanks a lot and keep up the great work 🌸

Hello. I don't experience hand pain. It might have to do with the type of pen you're holding, the manner in which you're holding it and so on. I'd say get used to comfortably holding a pen and write for short sprints gradually building up.

I get nightmares and at times I get idea's at night I want to get up and write it down but I tell myself I need to sleep, maybe I should keep a note pad, whenever I dream or dream about a melody I can write it down. Right now im writing 2 thriller novels, I want to do it because I don't want to store so many idea's and stories in my head. I want to write it down so that I can move on to the next idea. I will be self publishing, because I don't think my stories will good for modern audience. No LGBTQ friendly content. No Pandering. No strong female characters but good characters who happen to be women. Just good story telling in my opinion, I want prioritize story telling over being inclusive. I don't know If I will ever be New Yorks best seller, Maybe nobody will buy it, but at least it's out there in the world of story telling.
