Great Job in explaining as you set up the switch
@kevinw96252 жыл бұрын
This was a great video. The only thing I was waiting for was you to run #show ip brief again so I could see what the ports show after you interfaced the range of ports. I'm currently trying to teach myself how to configure new ie2000 switches and integrate them into our network. A contractor was responsible for all the initial switches but now whenever a new location is added, I will need to configure a switch for it. I'm so glad to have resources like this or I would be hosed.
@yashaikh20002 жыл бұрын
This is honestly really well explained. Other people that are making videos regarding configuration with cisco switches aren't as efficient and clear as you are. You are very organized and straight up (no wasting time and getting straight to the point ). Well done my guy, I'm currently a networking intern and I'm learning a lot from people like you.

Thank you Jorge, for sharing your experience. I've been battling anxiety for the past year or so. I've never thought about how one's ego plays a role. Much less did I ever think I had one that would possibly exacerbate my anxiety. I appreciate your honesty. This really opened up my mind to how to better approach this problem. Hearing stories like this when they are so similar to ones own really help. (you also helped me set up my exsi server with CML so that I can lab for my CCNP lol). You help more people that you know. I'm grateful

Thank you so much for this video! It was hard even finding documentation on this as everything is for VMWare Workstation or Player. I am running ESXi 6.7 as it is the latest version that can run on my Dell r610 server. I was not able to follow your instructions exactly as it failed to deploy initially. After looking at the error message, I deployed the OVF template from the vCenter vSphere client and was able to get it to work that way. I am not sure if that is a VMWare thing or because I am using CML 2.2.3.

It's very rare to land a mid to high level job as a Network Admin or Network Engineer without any prior IT experience or IT background. Most Network Admin jobs requires 3 to 5 years of experience. You generally start out as a Help Desk Technician before moving up. For Sys Admin guys Desktop Support is generally the next step up from Help Desk before moving into a Jr. Sys Admin role. For larger organizations, everything is moving to the cloud since the traditional Network/Systems Administrator role will soon be obsolete thats evolving into Cloud/Virtualization which you could be working for a 3 party IT cloud company or MPS. Microsoft already retired their industry standard MSCA, MCSE for Windows Server Administrators replaced with Azure Microsoft 365, and Cloud Administrator.

What does a network engineer guy do in the helpdesk position?
@unvaccinatedmensclub2 жыл бұрын
@@abdulrahmanhs8162 Pay their dues. That’s essentially what he’s getting at here. No one or no company is going to hire some no experience having nobody a Network Engineer job right from the start. You gotta work your way up starting from the bottom ie. Help desk, desktop support, coffee fetcher, etc.
