Great video im fixing to install one myself and yiu did it so fast real clean i liked it. How far can you pick up a signal? I have some high range antennas almost 2ft long. Im hoping to pust it to the max. I also am getting thasame cardso i am curious to how far the signal carries?

hi Jorge, 2 silly questions: the ap's default gateway (10.0.2.1) is configured on hq-sw1 & physically a cat6 connects fa1/0/47 on hq-sw1 to ge0 on ap?

this is great. this type of config would be good with site visits just so we can show realtime broadcast coverage with phone apps. i will be looking for a video to then setup the AP back to lightweight mode after this type of site visit work...

THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!! I had been reading and reading on all I could on how to get my AIR-CAP 2702i that i converted to autonomous mode to activate the AC 5Ghz. The GUI is pretty useless in this and had to learn how to do it in CLI, I had no idea about the (en) thing I had to do. Im pretty green when it comes to codes. I watched you step by step and it turned on just like how you said it would. now, the only thing is how do I get the max bands and channels out of my Access Point because right now its only giving me a link speed of about 173 Mibit/s at -17 dBm. I am trying to learn as much about doing it in CLI but no luck so far.

hi Guys, I am configuring Cisco AP 2602i and i managed to configure ip address but i am struggling to connect to it via web browser. what could be the problem? is there a command to enable web browser or which browser should i use.

Ok i have a couple of questions should be easy. Ok so the 1st time i created an AP something went wrong and when i ran sh dot11 bssid it wasn't open under guest. Of course it wouldnt work. So i started over now i have two configurations one that works and one that doesn't how do i delete the config that doesn't work?? Also how do i add a password? When im adding int dot11 ssid NAME ? Password 12345 Or int dot11 ssid NAME password 12345 ? I found the video to be great and its running now i just have a config that wasn't configured properly and i dont have a password i was so busy didnt even think about it. so i would love to know those two things and reconfigure w/ a password? Also i see my devices trying to connect . However it tries it doent connect to the internet. It looks like its hooked up correctly everything is up etc.....? Will it only connect with the console cable and putty running? How do i set this up to run without the console connection to the router to run 24/7/365 without my computer hooked up to it? Thanks.

That’s because you need to setup a DHCP server. Not something i discusses in this video but it’s simple enough to run DHCP on a switch, server or router in the topology.
