Excellent video…. I’d love more videos on the technical side of lure fishing for pike and perch.

Both are fine mate. Deads just have to be Sea deadbaits. No coarse species allowed. 🤙🏻🎣

Let's assume the worst, the guy is on the make and pocketing all or some of the cash. Many would agree with your principles but on the other hand, many would say he deserves it for doing such a thankless job. I think it would have paid you to cough up the extra quid, invest a fiver for two rods and pick his brain for some local knowledge. Whether you need it or not, it would have been great footage for your video. As it is I think you realise that you've cut off your nose to spite your face. My suggestion is a quick fix. Next time you want to fish the Brighton Marina make sure you've got a few cold beers with you, give the Steward one, pay the money for two rods, and tell him you had to come back for another Gurnard. Job done. 😉

Hi Charlie, great video,just wondering, you said the braid you were using is called favourite braid, could you if possible give me the full brand name if you can please, also how do you attach your fluorocarbon to your braid ? Thanks.
@TheIllustratedAnglerАй бұрын
Favorite is the brand mate (spelled like that). It’s the Favorite Arena braid in 5lb. If I’m at home and have the time I use an FG knot. If on the bank then I’ll use an Alberto knot, or even sometimes I’ve used a micro tippet ring from my fly fishing tackle. 🤙🏻🎣
@keithlaidler1073Ай бұрын
Hi Charlie, further to my text, do you incorporate a swivel to your setup to prevent line twist when using braid ?
@TheIllustratedAnglerАй бұрын
No mate I don’t. I try to keep things as light and streamlined as possible when I’m fishing with ultra light lures and all a swivel will do is cause extra unnecessary damage weight.
@keithlaidler107320 күн бұрын
Hi Charlie, where did you get your hard tackle box from which can hold your rods and terminal tackle, reels etc.

Thanks buddy. It’s the Favorite Arena braid. Honestly for the price, I don’t think you can get better for trouting. I’ve had some really expensive Japanese braids and this is almost on the same level for 1/4 of the cost.
