What I think we are looking at is a place so far into the future that the goddesses have been able to pull the timelines back together and reform everything into a single world.

They cannot "Touch" the Master Sword. However, that does not mean that they can't use something to move it, such as use some sort of levitation magic, or use a stick or mitt to touch it, as if it was a rack in an oven

If we assume that the Master Sword reflects her wielder, as with the WW's coming of age and OoT's time mechanic, then the Master Sword breaking actually fits quite well for BotW's Link. He died. He was broken. Therefore, the Master Sword can also break, because her wielder did.

Tbh I think Plateau is still my favorite only because it was the only one capable of landing a full first impression. Sure, GSI had a first too, but it couldn't help but be compared to what came before. Anyway, that first impression I had of Plateau was "Holy crap this is BIG!" And then when I got the glider, it was like the true scale of the map was really starting to dawn on me. That's something GSI maybe could've outdone Plateau on...if ToTK wasn't a sequel reusing nearly the entire map from BoTW.

I don't think monsters have any issue picking up your dropped sword and taking it wherever they want, taking the sword out of whatever stone its stabbed into? Sure not gonna happen. Loosened up master sword? Fair game. All that being said it seems like they did their best to make it look like the sword managed to just drop at that point rather than assuming a monster or someone was just gonna stab it into the ground for link to find.

hate to burst your bubble but if you were correct there would be no shrines in the sky but there are and they don't correlate to any lightroot meaning that... the shrines are where the demons were killed not the lightroot also we have seen the sacred realm before in alttp so we know for a fact that it is a separate place than Hyrule (also cant be the depths as it has a sky) the whole theory falls apart at its base. at best you are incorrect and at worst you are being intentionally dishonest

Personally i think the answers a bit different then anyone taking it i think that link droped it while in the air. The sword doesn't look like it was placed their but rather it feel from the sky and thats an impact crator around where the sword plunged itself.

you skipped over Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, both of which are canon sequential followups to Wind Waker. They are games all about establishing New Hyrule post-Wind Waker. This would mean that the Hyrule in BotW and TotK is the third Hyrule, not the second. Even saying that the Hyrule that was destroyed in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity was the same one as the one in Spirit Tracks and that the one in TotK is the third means that the Zonai would have to have existed in at least Spirit Tracks for Rauru to possibly be "the first king of Hyrule".

I always assumed Link got hit by something while in the air. This knocked the sword loose causing it to fall (like what happened in Wind Waker). Link got knocked out in the process and all his stuff got stolen.

So here is my view on the Rito and Zora living side by side issue and it’s quite easily solved. There were no lakes in BoTW that were safe for the Zora to live in nor deep enough thus why the dams were constructed in fact it was built between RIVER Zora aka the very angry aggressive Hylian hating Zora which there is evidence of all throughout BoTW to suggest the Zora were originally river Zora. They came to peace not all to long ago maybe Hylian 2-4 Kings before BoTWs events helped make peace with the river Zora and made them a new Zoras domain that was a peaceful fresh water lake as the Zora could only live in fresh water. Hence why the Rito evolved btw… they could not swim in the high salt concentrated oceans and the rivers did not treat them well either.. so they decided to take to the skies, as their new ocean being that of clouds and air or they came from the clowns and settled in Hyrule form perhaps a different section of Zoras who domain also fell. All in all both of them make sense to me, the Zora especially if they are indeed the aggressive Hylian hating river Zora from the fallen hero timeline form the regional Zelda games.

They really laid the whole game out to be an alternate Hyrule which would explain so many differences while at the same time be a semi-interesting concept. But they just didn't do it. They just said "Who knows what happened to the ancient Sheikah technology! Also there's islands in the sky now and that underground beneath Hyrule? It's always been there, I guess!" I seriously have no idea what went through their heads with TotK. Thanks for this video!

But, it can't be. Because on the stone monuments around Zora's domain, they talk about the hero of time and princess Ruto as a sage of water, which obviously is a reference to Ocarina of Time. Who knows, the Zelda maps never have lined up with each other anyway, so maybe the underground sealed temple shifted away from the lost woods. They aren't that far away. Nice video!!! 👍👍😀😀
