Respected Sir Nehru, I do not doubt Army's intention about caste and elite bloodline but why are there most of the officers & jawans in the 61st cavalry & The President's Bodyguard carry surnames like Singh, Shekhawat, Khan, Cariappa, Rathore etc? ( These surnames are mostly carried by what we known as zamidaar, jagirdaar and other elites in pre & post independent India).

I know most of the officers of 61 Cav & PBG are good horse riders. I don't know about other ranks. In my view, these organizations are of ceremonial value and should be phased out soon.

Sir had a question, you say the assessors in coaching academies ruin the candidate's perception. What if I go to the SSB and meet an assessor who has the same kind of expectation from the candidate as these assessors in the coaching, what if even he is planning to join the coaching after his service and misguides students. will my attempt get ruined just because of this?
