You didn't even clean and regrease the main spring, like where the clutch sits in the mtb versions 🤷

When everything's working as it should the spacers keep things tight enough to roll smoothly without binding. But as the races wear down due to use or insufficient, the wrong kind of or dried grease, the spacers need to be slightly thinner to keep things smooth, otherwise play develops which accelerates wear. The trick is to find thinner spacers that aren't too much thinner. We're talking tenths of a mm here. I had to fabricate my own spacer out of an old washer as I couldn't find the right sized one. Worked great and all play is gone with very smooth action. Btw, best to oil and not grease the pawls as they might stick if it gets too cold. Grease is for the ball bearings. Also would be nice to let people know what solvents you used to clean everything. I used mineral spirits.

Didnt you misplaced the cogs ? I think the one with the proper bearing should the the guide pulley and the other with the ceramic bushing, the tension pulley.
@GoodBicycle2 күн бұрын
That's right. We even found an official manual for this switch before we installed it. The wheel, which has a ceramic bushing, is usually placed on top

60 hours? It can go much further without an issue if you leave some oil in the fork and you flip upside down the bike before riding.
@GoodBicycle5 күн бұрын
it's not the oil, it's the dust that gets inside the bike fork.
@dtibor59035 күн бұрын
@@GoodBicycle hhhmm, maybe time to change the rubber seals? Maybe you have more dust where you live, idk :)

Retirando de esa forma el sello, aplicas demasiada fuerza, retiralo con una pequeña aguja o pinza de electrónica redonda plana, no se dañan los labios de esta manera.

Nice upgrade! I'm planning to do the same for my hybrid bike. Currently I have 700C wheels and I was wondering what would be the best fork size for me? Can I go with a 27.5 fork or do I have to get a 29 fork?
@GoodBicycle11 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment. We put a 27.5 fork on this particular bike to prevent the handlebars from rising too high. If you don't use a very wide tire, then a 27.5 fork will be enough.
