I’m in Colorado right now. What a BEAUTIFUL state. This song means a lot to me right now.
Loved John Denver and his music. Here's one of my favorites of his. Great song, but once he is joined on the vocals by Emmy Lou it takes off into the wild blue yonder, especially on the final harmony and high note. Such talent. They were amazing together. John was a treasure. He immeasurably contributed to the ever-expanding, ever-enriching American songbook.

My family and I went to Colorado for the first time this year. We stayed in Estes Park. My daughter was working a seasonal position at the YMCA. We went to see her when we got there and this song was playing ❤️. The Rockies are truly majestic. I had such a sense of inner peace while we were there. I’m ready to go back! Just beautiful. If you have never seen them you need to go at least once in your lifetime.
