24 year old woman and I have only 1 friend, no boyfriend, living in my childhood bedroom, can't find gainful employment with my college degree from 2022. It's really tough times. Literally just went through 6 rounds for a temporary admin job and the offer evaporated.

I've definitely not been the same since the lockdowns either. The second lockdown coincided with me entering my 30s so maybe I'd have become this way with age anyway but the lockdowns definitely accelerated it, largely because random people cough middle aged white men cough tried to take out their anger on me because I look like an easy target and everyone was just constantly ripping each other apart over masks/vaccines etc so I think I started to associate going out with stress and negativity.

It won’t work for some people if they have too much air element. They’ll be forced to pair with feminine energy people to be able to create anything-especially if their feminine energy is toxic or garners competition. People will show up, but they won’t engage. They’ll take.

This is so refreshing to hear someone talk about this. I've been seeing this for decades and I'm appalled by it. I think it's the fault of the American advertising industry. It's part of the old "American Dream" scenario except that part where we have to work hard to get ahead. Now, people are pretending to get ahead without doing the work. Smoke and mirrors. We've been told over and over again that we HAVE to have this or that, or we're not as good as our neighbors or friends. I've always had the attitude that even if I had the money to buy fabulous mansions and cars that I'd be happy just having a comfortable home and reliable car. What one owns, or has, is not a measure of who they are. I want to find people who value personality and creativity over consumption and appearances.

Yes the pandemic really changed everything. Just thinking though that there’s always something that’s gonna force us to change course-wars, devastating natural disasters, even personal health problems or family trauma. What often helps is to count your blessings, considering things could be much worse, right? Thank goodness you weren’t a casualty of the pandemic!! Counting blessings isn’t a cure all but at least it puts us in a positive mindset to keep moving forward. Watch out for destructive cults. They prey on young talented people trying to find their way in life but are having a hard time and they’ll destroy your life. Read up on cults so you’ll know how to steer clear of them.

My previous Instagram account brought me a lot of heartache. I was so active posting stories everyday, revealing a lot of information as to to what was happening. I'd waste hours scrolling photos, watching all the posts of romantic relationships, weddings and gatherings I wasn't invited to by so-called friends. I was upset at messages being ghosted despite the fact they were always online. It was the first thing I saw waking up until bed time. When I announced that i was closing the account, 60 people viewed it, only 3 contacted me. All the the rest are fake friends. I shut it down. Social Media and even Whatsapp doesn't keep you connected to people. It keeps you isolated and disconnected. A vast majority don't care about you

Well I have no friends for since I left highschool decades ago.even then they very small groups of people 8 maybe 7 even out of these who I can really call friends was even tiner 1-2 I could call loyal friends throw out my younger days even teenagers days but I have family. Now nothing not even my own cousins except 1.trys to contact with me but none of the rest of my uncles and aunties cousins keep in contact with me but none hangs with me at all and I don't care I walk alone live alone

Simple solution for all that: delete Instagram and the other stuff from your phone. Why at all people posting pictures from them there? You can meet friends in a cafe and tell them live how the weekend or holiday was

the whole thing is very intensly pushed by the companies who earn billions from this consumer frenzy. And within the American society it just developped I guess also a bit randomly like that, with this specific shape, it started somehow, then all the add bombardements of the products the companies want to offer and then it just came like this. I live in Europe, Germany and Austria and here we have this max 10% of how this is in the US. But we also have sometimes this negative competition amongst people. Who is more "potent", for example between neighbors, the car, the better pool in the garden, the nicer garden or house in general, the better job, who did the more exotic holiday trip etc. But all that's more the curse of rich people. In the still a bit existing middle class here you often have not these unhealthy competitions.

Apparently there is a business that has a fake inside of a private jet in a film studio that 'influences' can pay thousands of dollars to go to take photos to make it look like they are flying on their jet. I have been so much more chilled over the last 18 months since I have been more of a minimalist. All the money that I have saved I have been spending on life experiences like visiting new places I have never been to before.

They're the most counterfeit people I've ever meet. I think it's an endless rat race that thankfully I've checked out of. Focus on YOU and live a minimalist lifestyle, ignore the faux photos on Social Media of the performers who behind the scenes are miserable and possibly in debt. The whole name brand while good is another trick from brands to make you think it'll give you some type of power when in reality it'll be out of style within a year or sooner.
