I was lucky to get delivery of the Saucony Triumph 22 for AUD$108 (USD$67). Super value. It's a heavy shoe (307g in my US9.5) but its quality and built to last. I think this could be an excellent daily/long/recovery run shoe when I just want to shuffle along.

HI Jared, nice review, do you think it is good for heavy runner doing marathon ? it looks nice because not so high so more stable than other super shoes
@justjared823 күн бұрын
@@David-cg7ms i think it would be “ok” for a bigger runner going 26.2. It’s cushioned enough but the platform (while wider than Asics & Nike) might become unstable towards the end, especially if you’re not running around 7:30/mile or faster. My recommendation for a bigger guy(and I may use on my next marathon) would be Hoka Cielo X1. I really hope this helps, thanks for watching!
@David-cg7ms3 күн бұрын
@@justjared82 i bought the cielo based on your recommandations but just walking in them i felt them pretty unstable, i returned them without trying them on road because they are expensive. I'm a fan of adios pro 3, but not sure they will last 26.2.

@ the Cielos are very weird walking around, but I do understand not wanting to take a $275 gamble. What kind of time frame are you looking to finish in? Anything more than 3.5 hrs and you’d probably be better off in a supertrainer or a maybe even very cushioned trainer

Last year, when Saucony were clearing their old stock of Triumph 20s, you could have picked them up for around USD$60 (AUD$100). At that price, it is a steal for such good shoes that have some versatility to them. I bought a number of pairs at the time. And this Ride 18 is practically the same shoe with perhaps less premium materials and some minor tweaks. You can't go wrong with either. Nice review Jared. 👍
