Can someone please explain to me why someone would construct this type of dam? Are they harvesting the fish at the point of the obstruction or are they preventing them from continuing their journey upstream for other reasons?

Honestly if I would have seen all them fish struggling and about to die because they can't spawn.... I wouldn't have recorded it but I would have just got some bolt cutters in with the sumbitch down... I really don't care if they get mad or not, they literally are destroying the ecosystem of that area... I would have ripped down the fence and just left it in a pile with a note to the top titled "don't be a douchebag" .

I installed a couple of those chain link fences and if you untwist a single wire upwards it takes one minute and its so easy a kid could it! Good luck

All you have to do is get some bolt cutters or even some lineman's pliers and cut a hole at the bottom to let the fish through. Or just take down the fence yourself. Come on man it’s not that hard.

These are invasive it's illegal to put them past the fence. You're actually supposed to put them on the banks or unalive them and dump em. Do not rescue them. I hope to god a game warden in your area catches you and fines the hell out of you
