Had something similar happen except the fish took off with one of my rods I thought it was gone forever. About 20 minutes later that fish swam into my other line and I got both the fish and my other rod back the best part about it was seeing my 6 year old sons reaction. Great job guys keep up the good work.

Loved watching the father son moment. It would appear these souls needed just that moment. You will be talking about this fish for the rest of your lives. A true miracle in the catch and the relationship.

@@MyRedneckTherapy You're welcome buddy.. Awesome. Hope y'all do well. I have 5 son's so I know what it's like taking your boy fishing. Truly one of the best ways to raise them and they'll never forget it. My Dad took me when I was a kid and I'll never forget.

Epic Catch guys way to stay composed after breaking off! And then reeling him in on the other rod.. I had a somewhat similar event happen. I thought I was getting a bite and set the hook only to find out half way in that it actually took my friends bait and swam into my line lol. We ended up catching the fish together wild.. Congrats on your PB and awesome to see a father son duo on the water!

I had something similar happen years ago. A buddy and myself were night cat fishing in a jon boat about midnight we were both tired from working all day and were laying in the boat. I was leaned back against the side with a rod on each side of me. I woke up as one of my rods went flying out of my hand, slammed into the side of the boat and went overboard. My buddy immediately tried casting where we thought the rod went with no luck. So I am sitting there mad because I lost a rod and a fish. Five minutes later I get a hit on the other rod, so I began to reel it in and the hook has hooked another line. I grab that line and it has a fish on it. As we pull in the line, up comes my rod and reel and we land the cat fish too. My fish wasn't as nice as that beautiful blue but no one believed us. Its a true story and I know its hard to believe BUT at least you have video.

When I was a kid I got to watch a life flight helicopter land in my friends field. The James River ran through his backyard and some teens were playing on the train track bridge. Unfortunately they were still on the bridge when the train came by. I think 4 or 5 people were hit.

That was a great fish.. Releasing big fish needs a little work.. I know you were excited young man when you have the camera try keeping it on the fish instead of the boat,other than that you done good.. The reel is not tight,when you have a big fish you pull up and reel down,very little pressure on the reel that way.. Keep up the good work.. Now you need a 70lb..lol You are in the same water I fish..
@davidjohnson-iw6vj2 жыл бұрын
Yes he most definitely need to work on releasing the fish a lot more careful than just throwing it in. For alot of us it's a sport/hobby that we need to preserve as long as possible, so please take that in consideration when releasing. That was a nice river monster.
