1st take is the best because its just pure flow of inspiration & creativity w/o trying to "play rock music." Gospel musicians (esp. Pentecostal churches) are the best because they learn to flow & respond to what God is doing in the moment--they are constantly interpreting the moment and become very responsive

The thing I love the most about this format is that there are NO WRONG ANSWERS! Play what you feel and see what happens. Its glorious. I also feel like they had the bass mixed down into near-nothing on the original track; I love hearing Jelani here so prominently.

Best of luck to Xavier! This is pretty close to the top of the mountain of drum parts. I'm sure he'll kill it!

Tym, they are great drummers, but I think these songs are too easy for them. Maybe they should get something more serious? Like Avenged Sevenfold, Sum 41 (Chuck album), Halestorm (the strange Case album), RHCP, Meshuggah (anything 🤣)

Do the bass players in this series even need to go trough the chord changes of the song or specific licks or do they just have amazing ears and can pick up this stuff immediately?
