Overall, I'm enjoying this game. But it *is* a rather mixed bag. When the game actually gets out of the way and lets you finally take control, it's enjoyable. Unfortunately there are just too many instances where the game forces you into extremely pointless cutscenes. Like one reviewer said: it doesn't respect your time. A friend asked me if this one's worth getting. I noticed his play log showed he was about 5 hours into Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door on Switch… so I just told him to keep playing that instead.

This is actually a really cute game. I love the idea that you're making the items. Seems like it could get brutal at higher levels though.
