Galarian Corsola is definitely the most rare regional form because it can only appear in pokemon shield, in one area, only at one weather, do not have a high spawned rate and its the only Galarian from that's not in pokemon go for some reason.

Regular Corsola's Pokédex entry in Shield clarifies that it used to live in the seas around Galar in prehistoric times, which does imply the Galarian form derived from it. Additionally, the official Sword and Shield website states that Corsola's Galarian form arose from ancient Corsola that lost their lives due to a meteorite impact in the area specifically. So yeah, it's not humanity's fault in the cannon.

I like achievements as they tend to extend one-and-done games. I recently played Donut County and beat it in about an hour and a half or so, but I got just that little bit more out of the game by replaying levels and trying to figure out how to unlock the achievements. There have been plenty of games where I got that extra hour or two out of them because of achievements (and there are games I've gotten dozens if not hundreds of extra hours like those in the Borderlands series because I was achievement hunting). Done right, they really add value for money by adding some replayability and optional challenges. That said, I really hate online achievements, as they become permanently locked if a game dies. Also, it's funny that Nintendo doesn't make achievements, but exclusive games like Xenoblade Chronicles and the Bayonetta sequels build them into the games anyway. It's like the devs really want to use them even if Nintendo said no.

Cursola is probably on my list of "favorite underrated Pokemon." Though it being underrated is most likely due to GameFreak being non-sensical when designing its stats and etc.

We were definitely robbed by not having a Corsola as ghost/rock type.

I forgot Corsola had a regional variant but probably because I stopped playing after Gen 7. I am busy trading Arceus caught with the Void Glitch in the Gen 5 GTS. Its fun... I still have 3 boxes of them.

Emerald was awesome when it came out. I put hundreds of hours into that. I remember the Lilycove department store would have sales on furniture for your secret base. It was like a semi-mythical event on the schoolyard. Dont even get me started on _Mirage Island_ . I looked so hard for Mirage Island as a kid i literally had dreams about finding it. There is a room in the palace of my mind that is completely emerald because of this game.

Personally, I intentionally bought a repro copy. I can't justify £100 for a loose cartridge which might be a repro anyway

You can name boxes in gen 2 as well. Saying this cos you keep acting like you cant name boxes in GSC.

A big thing people dont realize - and often just because they werent alive to experience it - we were limited by the tech of the time. a gameboy color cartridge can store 4 to 8 MB - total. the entire game, and all your save fit on there. everyone complains about an end game comparing it to modern games. this was literally 25 years ago - Gen5 droped a decade after, so yeah its end game is going to be improved. edit: who doesnt save before a legendary? Was this your first pokemon game?

The rivals are actually not totally the same. Their lines of dialogue have a very different vibe from one another. Brendan is more aloof and tries to seem disinterested in you at first, and is disappointed to learn you aren't a boy when he first meets you. May is shy, a little embarrassed at her oversharing and admits that she was hoping you could be friends when you moved to town.

If you've played Emerald your entire childhood or are at a 5th grade Japanese level, buy the JP version. I picked on up an official copy for 60 Canadian. You can pick up a copy of Sapphire or Ruby for $25 Canadian. I know I did, have a whole set for 100. Wild considering it's 1/3 of Emerald itself.
