Ok...those hand and arm conditioning drills were totally cool. Ive never seen those before nor have i ever thought about it. Definitely going to implement that into my training. Thank you!

The talk about hard wood. Not quite true. I train an art where our main stick is hickory. Heavy, dense and as I understand it harder than komagong. I very much we get more joint and tendon problems than you'll otherwise.

Sharp wordplay in here... edgy! I love it... lol I have to be very careful with my blades here in Australia [the most legislated western country...] but I do carry a pair of ''cut-proof'' gloves... grabbing that blade and owning it will be ''my move'' people turn to blades here since the ''gun-ban''...

@Sharp Talk I was wondering if there's any way to boost Doug Marcaida's video resolution. No matter how high I have the settings on my end, it looks like 144p on his end. That would be helpful sir. Thank you very much.

the cold steel special forces shovel is a good pick. lots of utility its light one handed and easy to move around and use as a weapon you can easily sharpen it so its shaving sharp and use it to split like an axe.

A tip on making switching work netter under stress is using a boxing bag an use hubud lubud motions boxing the bag. Then a stick cut to length of the type of knife uou want to handle. Then repeat the same boxing eith the stick as complement to the boxing. No switching in the beginning so you get a feel of the impacting. Then you start switching without slowing don the impacts of the hubud boxing. From there you add on stategies of "felt not sern" and "unhittable fang" . Yes you ARE able to switch in front of the opponent without being hit (usually masked by impacts). The bette and fasterr you get at boxing this way on a bag the better you can use this in stressed situations. It will be like a magic trick when its just hubud with switches.

I saw a video of two guys fighting with machetes. After watching that I think a gladius and a small shield. One guy lost his hand. Was in the Dominican Republic I think. Kukri is good too but being able to poke and hide is good.
@robertagu55338 күн бұрын
Figure my Sig, my bow, my spear an my prized Tomahawk/Kabar, an assortment of other good blades of varying sizes should help me in alot of situations.. with maybe a shotgun or AR/AK depending on the specific type of zombie franchise. TWD or World War Z... Maybe a suppressed Carbine if we talking something highly lethal like WWZ zombies. Agree with Doug on Kukaris they one my favorites too. But if they TWD type you STILL got to hi6t their skull. Swords are good an alot of people have shown just how well you can do with ANY sword or spear an if used right can be the best for melee use or when stealth helps. One thing Doug's guest mentioned, IF your just using something as a weapon.. for practical and/or safety an infection purposes.. then PURE weapons or not loses importance since he talked of just using weapons AS WEAPONS but NOT tools for good reasons like sickness avoidance or not too utilitarian
