I created a game that I titled Wizard Quest. And in it I wanted to have a card type that (looking back at it) acted similarly to commanders in MTG, and at first I called them wizards. I later decided to refer to them as mages and have “wizards” be the players of them game “placing” different creatures on the board, including, almost as an apprentice, mages.
