5:10 the reason why it's not welded all round is because you introduce a lot of stress during welding, long welds make the parts crooked, probably in this case a full weld doesn't make the frame any stronger and is just more weight.

I testet this bike, three versions. actually - M, L and XL, on Nicolai's testival in Hamburg. But only effectively for 30-40 minutes (need to ride it alot more I think). The bike is absolutely amazing. And my first impressions with the motor and gearbox is also very good. But I think there might be a big issue if you drive with the motor assistanse off or try to pedal above 25km/h. On my short testing I experienced a big resistanse with the Pinion MGU. So I went home again (to Norway) and tested this on my bike with EP8 motor, and I am sorry to say that EP8 is quite easy to pedal both with motor completely off and above 25km/h. What are other riders experience on this?

this is the question, I’ve seen the same complaint in Reddit , absolutely amazing motor gear, but when pedaling with motor off it’s almost impossible to. It would be much appreciated Aston pov on this

I'm thinking about putting a conversion kit in my boxxer select, but i'm not sure whether to go with the race only coil conversion or avalanche boxxer cartridge kit. What one did you prefer the feel of?

Great review Paul! I always appreciate your fully encompassing view of bikes as a whole rather than individual aspects. It’s about building a combination of components, geo and kinematics that all complement each other to create the ideal ride experience.

I reckon you could have made it a bit longer and slacker. Maybe Peter Fonda was way ahead of everyone in Easy Rider. Yes if Carbon was any good they would make aluminium from it and if aluminium was any good they would make steel from it but unobtainium is the ducks guts. But E=Mtb²

"Double Sealed bearings" and they still use an classical way for the way the cables and brake housings go. - not through the steering bearing. I can only appreciate that

On the Loam Wolf review they also broke a chainstay so maybe it wasn't a fluke and is actually a bit of a flaw with this frame? Too flexible in the rear which allows it to contact the crank?

I’ve had this bike for a few weeks going pretty hard on it. With the new V4 upgrade. I it came with up and lower chain guide. Lower was not seen in the V3. It also came with a narrow wide chainring. Never had the chain drop from upper pulley from hard riding 6 hours total. Friend bunny hopped it before that once in a driveway and it came off I forgot to tighten upper pulley. Never came off again. Seems like the 2021 shore park didn’t have the lower chain guide probably due to Covid bike supply like the 2023-24 has. Super fun bike!

Can it be ridden with a 170mm fork? Also, what about sizing, I checked the geometry charts and the reach is too long! Should I stick to my normal size M as with the other brands?
@brandonornelas42042 ай бұрын
Can you remind me how tall you are and if you felt the large was the correct size for you? I'm 190cm tall and prefer a much longer effective top tube than most people my height. In the USA I always ride an XL but the Saturn 16 mgu seems to run really big, making me think a large would be more appropriate for me. I'd love your opinion. Side note: I just noticed the geo chart you showed in the video is very different from the geo chart on the website currently which is a bit confusing lol.
