@@jessieoakes8033 Flagler county north of the pier area where the original beach is intact. Varn park always has tons along with other beaches north of the pier area.

Where the heck are you pulling pompano? Are you north of FB? We are South FB and have only caught cats for weeks. You are an inspiration!

Here in Flagler County. Yes north of the pier. It was a clean water day, which we haven’t had too often lately! We’ve been catching the cats too but we can usually get some nice ones between the catfish. Friday was a lot of cats but got a keeper bluefish and really nice whiting and an eating-size mullet in the cast net (that video will Be next Sunday and a catch-and -cook!) Thanks for watching!

@@Fishin-Girl we are at 13th South. No sand fleas since the restoration and it seems few fish. Time for the boat on the intracoastal

@@greygooseadventures5212 yep, head to an area not affected by the restoration and you’ll have better results. Lots of sand fleas at places like Varn Park especially toward higher tide. Tight lines whether on the boat or the sand!

White lithium grease works for me. Does'nt drip or leak around. Not sure how it will work on the beach sand tho.

We used marine grease, it’s blue. Worked great for us, of course needs to be reapplied every so often 🤷🏻♀️ Thanks for watching!

That is my 4Runner next to you. The wife and I just started surf fishing. We moved to Palm Coast at the beginning of July. I have the same cart and I am considering adding the second set of wheels. I push mine also, but with one set of wheels. It seems to work pretty good as long as most of the weight is towards the back. We will see you out there sometime.

Great vid. I use aluminum sliding door lube. You can get it at the big box stores. Would love to join up with ya sometime. I'm still learning the ropes around here. Saw ya at the Salt strong meeting last month.

Mrs Fish Girl like your channel .I from Kentucky .heading down to top sail NC. Going to try surf fishing .don't expect mutch but never know till you throw taking my catfish rods 1 is 10 ft spinning 40 lb test #2 is 7 ft with open face reel that's my surf gear .I'm 9 hours away so not investing for gear only use once I'm taking a 7 ft ugly stick with a ugly stick spin cast reel 20 lb floral carbon .with swim baits and top water may get lime broke but be a rush😊 been watching tube trying to learn what I can. Wish a rookie Luck.

Thanks so much for watching the channel! Those setups sound okay to use for the surf. If you can find a high impact beach or you fish closer to low tide on a low impact beach, then you should be able to reach the fish using those rods. Let me know how you do! The biggest thing to consider with your setups is how much weight can those rods handle? You will probably need 3 or 4 oz Sputniks to hold bottom and get some distance.

Do you snag mullets aswell? Is it dangerous to cast net the mullets in the surf when there are predatory fish nearby?

If probably is. Yes I throw cast net into the surf. I’ve not caught anything other than mullet or other smaller baitfish in the cast net (so far!) thanks so much for watching!

Been doing quite a bit of surf fishing this past week and saw reds in the surf over in Crescent Beach, south of the condos at the Matanzas inlet entrance. My new e-bike really helps my range now.

If you do any fishing, you know some days it’s like that. If you haven’t tried it recently, give it another try. I had the same problem and Tony recently made an overhaul to how it is made and it’s 1000 times better for the east coast waves and current. It’s been super effective now and so many people are catching on it now that he is constantly running out of stock!
