Very interesting for a snowbird! We're more on the gulf side. Any tips?
@Fishin-Girl2 күн бұрын
Nice! Thanks for watching. You’ve got some great opportunities there on the gulf side. Keep watch of your water temps and target species that run in those temperatures. You’re smaller bait fist will more likely be blue runners and whiting. Don’t underestimate throwing closer to shore, but keep rods back a bit from the shoreline because with calmer waters the fish can see you better, especially if they are running close! Hope that helps a bit. @fishgum and Bama Beach Bum have great content for gulf surf fishing among several others.

Hey there, fellow surf anglers! Thanks for watching 😊 the “noise” or “bad sound” you might think you are hearing is actually the waves. In the future if I record at the beach I’ll make sure to go to a low impact beach at low tide so the sound of the surf is quieter. Thanks for putting up with it on this one! Sorry to hear your beaches got messed up, it's beautiful down there. Jax beaches (I am in AB) got hit pretty good. I was hoping much of the sand renourishment (Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan's sand, as I call it) would get washed away. Much did. I hope the fishing and sandfleas return soon because of it. I wish the ACOE would stay the hell away and stop messing up our coastline.
@Fishin-Girl27 күн бұрын
I was surprised how well our Flagler beach renourishment fared through Milton. I expected a lot of it to be gone but it held pretty well, but it sure looks different. 🤷🏻♀️ I was able to find sand fleas last week in Flagler, it was just a bit trickier than usual but I got a whole handful with scooping sand with my hands in the right spot. Which surprised me with the new sand. Anyway, Thanks for watching!

I have 3 days to fish coco beach area 4 th time .. caught few normal surf fish but I want a shark.. even a small one any tips
@Fishin-GirlАй бұрын
Sure! Try using mullet or a small whiting or other bait fish (preferably fresh) on a Carolina or fish finder rig with a longer metal or very thick leader. A lot of companies make good shark rigs. Cut the bait so it bleeds to attract them more. Toss that out mid-trough of you have a trough there, or as far as you can get it if it’s a low-impact beach. Then wait. lol. Check the bait occasionally because the crabs can get to it or smaller bait stealers. I catch smaller sharks on my regular rigs, especially if I have cut bait. You could have a stronger double drop out for bluefish made with 40# or 60# mono or flourocarbon and larger hooks like 4/0. Put cut mullet on that and you might get a smaller shark like a bonnethead. Make sure you have your Florida shark fishing license if you are going to be targeting them with longer metal leaders and bigger hooks. You can actually get fined for not having it if you get checked. It’s a free course about shark ID and safe handling, which is great info anyway. Hope that helps and tight lines !
