The level of talent required to write both this, and the star wars theme is insane.

Conjures great memories of the bush, having mates sleepover when we were kids and walking the logging tracks late at night, hearing the dingoes wail at the moon, running scared back home, past the cyclone-branded fence, seeing the flashing eyes.

The cringe is strong with this one. Garbage lyrics based on fallacies and hard left activism. Bury this in the distant past where it belongs.

I blame Multiculturalism the worst thing ever before that people had to become Australian 🇦🇺 and learn our language now they come for the beautiful place it is but they keep living and wearing all the scarves and god now’s what else I believe when are accepted in this Country we deserve to be RESPECTFUL and that is NOT WHAT HAPPENS. and that OFFENDS ME as a passionate AUSTRALIAN that loves this country above anything I live at the end of a cul de sac and because we have 1 FAMILY living amongst us who make no Attempt to be friendly Yesterday they took over our whole street with Hundreds coming all day with. Their Head scarfs and long gowns walking up and down coming and looked like maybe A birthday I a, sorry but as a resident living for over 60 years in sickened me NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE It 🤮😗🤮🤮🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵

So what is this? A celebration of that drunken, badly educated, misogynistic, meatheaded, brawling numbskull Australian male or is it about the destruction of a distinctive non-indigenous family focused community based farming culture which built Australia and is vanishing as the world hurtles into digital oblivion? Either way it could apply to most countries.

The best you can say about Australia is that it's generally no worse than anywhere else. A bit over fifty yrs ago, we had a wave of optimism and I, as a little fella, believed we might be on the brink of showing the world how it should be done. But we've failed and we've failed and we've failed and we've failed and we've failed. Back then, we invented and experimented with an idea called multiculturalism, but we were sloppy with the implementation and, from 1988 to 1996, it withered under assaults from the old guard. Then in 2001, it was disinterred, hanged, drawn, quartered, drowned, incinerated, ground to powder and reburied. The word is stilled (mis)used, but with no political meaning or force - just equalling "polyethnic." (BTW, Canada also had a hand in the creation of that now-defunct attempt at a kind of society.) "A fair go" was something that that (Whitlam) era didn't invent, but developed from an older Australian tradition. Now, a fair go has been replaced by downward envy, self-righteousness and "I'm alright, Jack." If you need welfare or need to get a roof over your head, Australia is not a great place to be; not any more. Back then, a stream of dust poured from the hands of Gough into those of Vincent Lingiari was an epochal symbol of hope, but a year or so back, the Voice referendum showed how far that hope has strayed into a slough of despond. I dunno. I suppose ours is never the golden age, and I never had any right to think that we could succeed where every other people of every other time and place has not. But why the bleep not?
