I remember playing this demo over and over and over again for like a year until I saved up money to buy it and I still remember the music and conversations like it was yesterday. 🥹 There was a little music in Baldurs Gate 3 that made me think of this game and I couldn’t for the life of me remember the name. Such a great walkthrough. On a different note, I wonder why the game makers didn't let Jowy, Jillia and Pilika reunite? Man this was great. I’ve done Leon’s and wanted to fly through Claire but she ended up being my favorite. Took me 3:58:58 but I got an A at least. Leaving this here in case someone happens upon the explanation for chest puzzles here, but there's actually a little more to it. When you input a code into the chest, it will either respond with "..." or "# Tries" If it is "..." then one of the three numbers you entered is both the correct number and in the right position. Since we don't know which number, that might seem useless, but we can actually eliminate about half the codes with that knowledge. For example, if our numbers were 0129, and we input 012, and get "..." then any codes you can make from 0129 that fail to have a 0 in first place or a 1 in second place or a 2 in last place are not the right code. If it is "# Tries" then none of the three numbers you entered are correct. Basically the inverse of what we do with the previous response, we just remove any code that contains a 0 in first place, a 1 in second, or a 2 in last place.

This is incomplete walkthrough you need to let them see that you need to go to the Inn to trigger a scene before heading out to North Window. If you go straight to North without triggering the Inn. It wont trigger the Vampire scene.
