I bought 2 16 ft fcob strips, 12v power supply and the controller and got nothing but flickering. I'm going to try the 5c pcbs with a different psu and see if i get a better result. For an off the shelf product you shouldn't have to add a resister to resolve flickering.

For this application you don't need the diffusion channel probably, if there are enough leds per meter (for cost savings) :)

❤❤❤ This is super Awesome.... I watched the other 2 videos as well about Sound FX. Just need to know as you installed 4 ESPs to the table you built. 1 for border and 3 for legs. Is that 3 legs synched together and table border separate. Two sets of sound affects? ❤❤❤

Hey Chris, your videos are fantastic. My problem is that my bench setup like yours works, but the ESP32 controllers keep burning up. I see other post with the same problem but no good solution. I am using the USB-c ESP and 12v or 24v and my guess is the ground or data is back feeding and killing the ESP32. I am using a USB-c power source for the esp but a 12v power supply for the the LEDs, the 12v + only goes to the LEDs so it’s the data or the ground killing the boards.

WARNING: this is NOT the typical low voltage from this channel. This installation will mess you up if you don’t know what you’re doing. Go watch a couple of regular light installation videos to learn about safety before starting this project, if you’ve primarily only worked with low voltage stuff. Just wanted to point it out since the primary content in this channel is very safe to handle. Unlike this one.

Also, if you’re not familiar with what’s going on here, don’t use a drill to tighten your electrical box screws. Chris clearly is used to it, so it’s okay. If this is new to you, can overdrive the screws if not doing by hand. Also, he used Wago nuts. If you don’t know what that is, just look it up. It will make your life easier 😀

I mean for the amount of money they have raised already I would have manufacturer shipping these out already. Plus the price they are asking for it and timelines is literally piss take. Looks cool. But not cool enough to throw my money out and wait till November...

I'm wanting to make one much smaller and as a decal that can be put on the back of a motor helmet. How difficult do you think that would be. I found no alternative so it looks like I'll be doing it myself

I'm confused. Shouldn't the wall below the bottom of the screens be identical to highlight the fact that you are using the SAME exposure and white balance on both captures?

Hello! great video thank you... I'm currently swimming above my head trying to figure this all out as I had never even thought about programming LED strips before yesterday and have zero experience with any sort of stuff, so talk to me like i'm a fast learning child lol... ... i'm trying to program lights for a halloween prop. Think like a stargate basically. I want to use a cycling animation in the lights like its spinning up (i saw something i liked in the govee presets so figure there might be something in WLED)... I could totally use this and be done with it... BUT it would be a step up to be able to trigger it from my prop controllers. But I am just learning the terms PWM, SPI, RJ12, ect and even pretty basic with my understanding of current... So the prop controlers generally send out 5/12/24v to turn stuff on or off. There are also DMX outputs... my current thought is that I could use the DMX, use a DMX to SPI decoder and go to this RJ12 port instead of using the button?? am I on the right path at all? I also found this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pIKtZX-hfciDopY Which is a more direct path for a switch and wondering if it could be done this way somehow. I have subscribed to your channel and now that i'm super addicted to this LED stuff i'll prob be watching every video on your channel lol.

Great installs and your video editing is very nice! I want to do this exact set up with a L wood shape covering the strip. Thank you for this video. You make this look very easy! Lol
