So, your $300 body requires the purchase of two lenses and a load of stuff, such as an external monitor, to do the job. Making about a $1300-1400 kit.

uh, yeah, thats kinda how every single camera on earth works. it doesnt matter if you have an arri alexa, you are still gonna need a few lenses and an external monitor. his setup is basically the bare minimum needed for a day of shooting

You could try and shoot without a lens, but that might just be your specific "interpretative video" style...

@@itsapinecone7280 Every camera on Earth does not work like that at all! What a ridiculous claim. Yes, ILC need lenses, but they don't mostly need all the other gubbins, such as the external monitor.

Very cool. I recently found a GH5 for $475, and it hangs in there very well with my S5. Great video as always, thanks for sharing.

Hi Nigel. Great Video...well done. I have a GH5. I noticed the link to your "Cinelike-D LUTS" did not list the GH5. Are these only recommend for the older models GH5, G85, etc? Is their another LUT pack you'd recommend? Thanks!

I was gonna get this for a b cam after my g7 but ended up going through g95 because the sensor being the same as the GH5 one, only thing that annoys me is the crop in 4k but I just use it to my advantage to get a little more reach. Also fun to mess with cheaper cameras and still get good footage

I just got laid off and unfortunately my work camera was also my shooting camera where do you recommend someone can pick up an older video camera that isn't just eBay?

Well done Nigel, I was just sharing your channel with M43 vlogger in Australia who's sort of where you were years ago. He much appreciated your work. The short with Aisha was a lovely and smooth introduction. Cheers and stay charged!

Awesome freakin VID!!!! Hey I noticed something around 4:35... There is a literal internal reflection I cant explain it. It's something my awesome Tokina 28-80 ATX PRO lens does and it reflects and shows back through the lens. It's extremely unnoticeable to the naked eye but if you pay attention you'll notice it. You see it? Keep in eye on his hat as you roll in.

Yeah that was due to the ND filter and probably the lens adapter I used, with I used a matte box but now I know for next time!

It’s all it is. Before we had vapes, they were just small fog machines (back in the 90s we would have dreamt of heaving so much power in a battery, which is why they were ac powered). Vapes just popularized it for smoking. I built my own small fog machine out of a high powered vape.

I loved it back in 2014, and I got it for about $200 then LOL!! Looking at my clips from back then, they're not that good ... dynamic range limitations really shows and it has that video look. But your stuff looks solid. I'd argue that it's better to spend the money on a classic BMPCC for sure.

Proprietary mount? The quality of the KZbinrs reviewers is getting attrocious these days. Dude, you are making a review and you are calling MINI BOWENS MOUNT, proprietary?! Cheesh, that's so misleading. There are literally 10 tons of mini bowens to full bowens adapters that sells for $10-15 and I'm using 120cm bowens softbox in my product photography setup with this exact light. Step up your game brah, educate yourself better, when trying to educate others.

Picked up a kit from Marketplace for 80$ that included the 135 f2.8, the 28 f2.5 (Both Konica AR mount) and the 24mm f2.8. Solid lenses! That kit also included a bunch of filters and accessories! Keep an eye out on your local stuff people!
