I love games, and characters that become gods at the end of things lol. Like in mobas, or rpgs, or in fighting games, characters like this. Even lore wise I love black susanoo since he's hazama in his' true body.

That sublime bit of beauty is one I didn't understand I appreciate until now. Going out into the mist, night, hikes up mountains. Or girls who are modest and don't reveal much about their personality, or looks, mystery. A lot of people want literal superficial deets. I miss the air of mystery, adventure, and danger. Everything has to be simple for this generation, or maybe it's people underestimate human intelligence and capacity to understand these nuances.

Idk why this video is so poorly researched or just purposeful misinformation. So many huge errors that anyone who is familiar with any of these controls knows is false. Gamepad has been able to input opposing directions for decades using dpad and analog stick at the same time. One button supers are not a thing in Modern controls SF6. You have to press 3 different buttons at the same time to do supers. I could go on. I get you have not ever tried using these control systems and maybe never even touched the games but you can just research this stuff without needing to experience it yourself. I just don't get it. Just give the correct information. I like my leverless because I have thumb pain from pad and never touched a joystick in my life. I don't want to spend 300+ dollars to have to relearn how to play video games. It has nothing to do with winning or efficiency for me. It is pretty convenient that fighting game elitists want everyone to play with the controllers they have been using for decades. Nobody is banning joysticks. You can keep using it if you like it. It sounds like you are chasing efficiency and are worried that joysticks are less efficient so would like leverless banned.

I am a decently new fighting game player and I started playing with a leverless almost right away. But the reason is not at all for optimizing my gameplay. It was both because as a PC player I am more used to keyboard than a pad/joystick but also because there are some decently good quality leverless available on the market for very cheap compared to sticks. As a new player the investment for a good quality stick didn't seem a good idea since I didn't know if I would still be playing in a few months.

I believe what matters most is comfortability. I'm a keyboard player not a competitive just pretty casual. I play keyboard cuz during a time it was all I had now it feels more comfortable to play with a keyboard than a controller. I don't think it would be bad if the developer made the hitbox or keyboard a bit less efficient as long as it stays comfortable that's what matter most when it comes to all controllers. Its the same with people who use joysticks pads I even seen people feel more comfortable with Nintendo made items.

Having played fighting games poorly since Street Fighter 2 first appeared in arcades, I feel you on the romance, but conversely I think using a stick is and will remain a point of pride for many high-level players. Anyone competing against a player with a different device in a tournament, if they feel it's unfair, has exactly the same option available to them! For the 90% of players who DGAF about tournaments, fewer missed inputs does not make a game easier in any other regard--you still have to learn a game inside and out if you're gonna be any good. This argument is far beyond ten years too late. You'd have to go back to 1990 and convince developers not to make home ports of fighters to maintain the integrity of the arcade experience. (Personally I would absolutely prefer playing on a pad if I could find one that is fighter-friendly.)

I haven't played much Xrd, but in Strive being able to cancel a whiffed throw and punish your opponent's jump is the dumbest thing ever. If you have 50 meter, every mistake you make is actually your opponent's mistake.

While I understand what you are trying to get at, I would be remiss if I didn't point out that Brolylegs played on a controller, either a bog standard 360 pad or later on a Victrix Pro BFG. I would never attempt to speak for another person, Brolylegs might very well have completely disagreed with me on this and many other topics. His career as a player though, is- if anything, something that reinforces my argument rather than the opposite.

The feeling of landing Baiken's IAD kire tatami gaeshi mid screen and succesfully nailing the full corner carry combo conversion into super is the most satisfying feeling I've ever had in a fighting game. Learning the specific timing and feeling for that one piece of tech is what made me fall in love with Baiken.

even as somebody that opts for a more defensive playstyle, I think this is why I still really enjoy the time that I play Tekken 8. It's incredibly frustrating and it sucks to lose, but it feels really good to win. There's not a lot of waiting and downtime; the game is very explosive, which is both negative and positive. the difference is that when you're winning in Tekken 8 it feels *awesome*. The aggressive nature of the game is inherently more fun because it's fun to hit buttons and do your attacks.

Honestly, all hope was lost once Arcade Cabs stopped being the standard for Competitive play. No need to fuss about what setup was needed, everyone uses the same equipment. Today, even without considering leverless, you can make a argument that someone with a customized stick has an advantage over using a generic sanwa. It's now a arm's race. Regardless, even without considering Hitbox, since PC ports became more common for a decade, leverless (the keyboard) would have eventually force the FGC's hand since would have been a flood of players looking to bring what they grinded online ranking to tournaments. Leverless is hear to stay, and I recommend learning it. I still vastly prefer stick, however as Rubbish pointed out at the end, it's a very possibility that levers to vanish from the market, even within a decade from now. Consider learning leverless as "future-proofing". So long as you can make a controller from any simple buttons, like key-switches, you can play regardless the market conditions.

This entire video is literally just 1 man whining about how he doesn't understand SOCD cleaning and also ignores the very real reason hitboxes are inevitable because as a controller user for all my life arthritus and repetitive strain exist. (EDIT) i finished this whole video and it boils down to "me like arcade stick me no like new thing ergonomics aren't real suffering is life so destroy your hands" i'd be mad if it wasn't just so damn predictable.

reminder that leverless is just a keyboard with less buttons, and Street Fighter ***1*** released on the Commodore IN BLOODY 1988. If the developers, the tournament organizers and the players STILL can't wrap their heads around it, then it's a clown community all around.

The Paul deathfist input (tested only TK3 and TK7) works with 26RP as long as 6 and RP are pressed in separate frames and 5 gets skipped. The DOA series from DOA3 (2001) started accepting the 26 shortcut for 236 moves. Have some input leniency details for Hayabusa 236P extracted from DOA6: CMD_KEY(LV_D) CMD_KEY(LV_R) CMD_TIME(16) CMD_KEY(BT_P) Oh and there's Modern inputs in SF6, does it count?
