Nice explanation about the chod set up, 👍 ive now only just come away from using leadcore leaders and now I'm using a fluorocarbon leader I will say I caught many carp in the margins on leadcore but I also reckon it spooked a lot of fish vicious liners etc I try and imagine what the leadcore would look like just dropped in a margin spot as it could be sat up in some way and would look totally unnatural, even a few rod lengths out it could be a omen, as regards to the chod rig if that's all I ever used that wouldn't make me a bad angler it means if its all tied by myself the leader to mainline the boon section even a 1" chod if its catching dont move onto anything else other than maybe a clean bottom braided hook link and not to long

Stayed with Krill all round, only thing in winter is I fish a small solid bag with maybe 2 broken up baits and a small pinch of the Krill clusters. Had fish off all year round!.

I’ve been putting this off as I wanted the time to just watch it all the way through. Mate what a story the preparation the effort that’s gone into this 1 fish was just amazing. Every video of your big fish capture is just phenomenal it’s all or nothing. And the other carp was just as good obviously. I can relate to you being on and the wagon as I’m sure a lot of us can. A crucial point....bait up THEN go back and cast in. There's loads of vids where people are doing the exact opposite and would get done either by the EA or the fish...some are also fishing in stupid situations and wouldn't land the fish without help of the camera crew...like that's a real situation.

The phenomenally eccentric chris yates! He always found a way to seem extraordinary and 'just another bloke' at the same time. Just as well theres still some authentic redmire beings left after the total disaster caused the the tradition angling. A cult electing yates their jesus, only to proceed to transform redmire into a boillie infested septic tank is so ridiculous. All those claiming to be scientistic dr who types in the traditional angling fraternity just didn't know 1 +1 =2 I.E were lost in a delusion where since redmire cost a eyewatering sum to fish, and each angler fished rarely = that it would follow that redmire was under wise stewardship right? NO - not when theres was scarcely a moment when leads & bollies weren't pilling in as so many were on the water day after day // week after week // month after month thanks to that silly lottery phone call competition etc. You could not get through as every carp angler in the universe was calling & its sold out right ? NO !!!! phone off the hook to give that impression more like !! Gaspppppp!!! i got through at last thank GOD !!! I must proceed to spend a fortune to fish redmire like a robot. Very silly.

Doing all this work for carp seems insane for me. I'm in Australia Freshwater fishing is lure and saltwater, you just throw in a bit of burley (groundbait) as you're fishing. That's it.
