Let me tell you it just works wonders with keeping g everything all in one place, especially as they start doing more subject in the later grades. Both parent led and the academy are awesome. One thing I always recommend is if you are choosing to do the videos just make sure to test it out using the “free hours” they offer before purchasing to make sure that it’s something your child will enjoy. 😉 I didn’t realize the ss and art book weren’t included in the child kit! One of the things I strongly believe is that parents should choose what best fits their children’s needs because every child and family is different. 🤗

I’m hoping to do one pretty soon this year 🤗 I did a DITL video at the end of this past school year here 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKa7eKanYtGdgqc and recently I did a video just going through the video manual 👉kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqTSiHh4bM-hgbM I’m hoping to do a more thorough one soon, especially on the days I’m off from work and do more fuller days with them. Typically my husband and I split up the lessons that we do since we both work. Usually the lessons are printed on the bottom of the workbook pages and when the the video teacher typically would say what page they are going to be working on throughout the lesson. during the lesson when the kids on the video do their work your kids can pause the video and complete those particular problems or assignments and then continue the lessons. One thing that has been super helpful for my kids is organizing their materials using the binder method because it just keeps eveything they will need in one place and in the order of the video lessons. I do have a video on my homeschooling playlist on how I organized our binders for both 4th & 5th grade. That might help a bit. Another thing that we have found helpful this year is having a parent binder too where I put in there what we would need to refer to daily for quick reference. We did unaccredited for 5th grade instead And it went very well 🤗 We loved it! We still did all of the tests and quizzes but had the freedom to pick and choose which videos to watch and how to go about the lessons. So we did some tweaking. We are using it again for our son in 6th grade. Great question! It’s very comfortable and easy for my little to use. We’ve been using the binder method with this binder since she has been in k4 and with my son since 4th grade and we all love it. 🤗 We never take the papers out of the flex binder. The binder folds back just like a spiral notebook would so it makes it really easy for the little ones to write in, whether the paper they write in Is vertical or horizontal. The only time papers get removed it’s at the end of the grading period when I go in and swap them in for the new ones. If having 2 grading periods in is a little too bulky, you can just put in one grading period at a time instead 🤗 I actually have some scenes of my daughter using it during one k4 Day in the life video and our DITL video from this past May if you would like a little glimpse of how she handles it 🙂

I’m so happy that you found it helpful 🤗 For our son, we used the supplementary exercises during the summer time once in a while so he wouldn’t get out of the rhythm of things, we never used them during the regular year. As for the homework, we rarely would give it to him unless it was something that he needed additional practice on, so I didn’t add them to the binder. On Friday I have a video coming out sharing how I put together my parent binder that you might find helpful too. If you want to add it to your binder (if it’s something you’re interested in doing) so that you can have it incase you notice your child needs that additional practice. 🤗Are you doing the independent study or accredited program?

I prefer to use the cilantro base sofrito. There another sofrito that I have seen and have been getting in the Walmart frozen section, it’s called La Reyna, it’s the closest thing to homemade sofrito. Are you saying the entire small can? The 8oz? That would be ok but I wouldn’t put a bigger can of tomato sauce unless I was trying to double it🤗

Your question made me test things out lol I haven’t really used it with liquid things. I filled it water and laid it on all sides and This is what I found out…If the tray gets a little warped, from the heat of the dishwasher like the slightest curve it will leak on the side with the slight curve on the tray. The tray is not very thick. So as long as the tray is not at all warped it will be leak proof. The other Bentgo boxes, the ones with a thicker tray like the Bentgo Fresh won’t really curve or warp.
