He has better books than just this one. I did think Pygmy was unique the way the narrator was able to convey what was happening even though he wasn’t a westerner. However, a book you would really enjoy is titled survivor. It’s the best one he has hands down

i always used electric tape to stretch as the size differences got bigger. just keep adding more layers of tape over time until you can fit your next size. did that all the way to 3/4 where i was happy at. never use tapers! i really messed my left ear up using them and even professionals will tell you not to use them

I'm reading it now and I think it's brilliant. The narrative voice was confusing at first, but i like the way it drags my attention to a halt on each page, knifing me with the language and aggressive themes. I thought the first seven pages absolutely vibrated with conflict and energy. I can almost hear people being offended as I read it, though. It's definitely not for every reader, and that's perfectly okay. Few books are.

The problem I've had with some of Palahniuk's novels is that the satire goes too far and enters the realm of parody which takes me out of the story. The conceit of the book is amusing, that a programmed foreign terrorist goes undercover and sees America's underbelly and falls in love with it, but it goes off on strange tangents with the adopted family as oversimplified American stereotypes.

I remember when i was not smoking for a long time, and i tought why not lets smoke 0.4g from bong, i barely finished and everything was shakey my hands gone crazy, i couldn't look anymore, i tried to lay in bed and close eyes, i was feeling like i was on rollercoaster and i saw weird stuff with eyes closed, then everything got so much more scary that i tought i will drop some xanax to just fall asleep, it was huge mistake i started to feel like i was 3 persons at once and didn't know if i was laying in bed anymore or killing someone, everything was so wrong and my heartrate was 200 at peak, at the end i passed out and slept good at least, thc overdose is literally worst feeling in the world
